Lovely comfortable rooms attached to an ancient thatched pub. Good food and a warm welcome too.

Nipped in for a meal. Both chose Honey Glazed Belly Pork. Mash and French beans had a great gravy with an additional sauce. When asked we automatically respond with, "Yes, fine", but should have asked where the meat was. The pork rind was full of flavour but certainly not full of meat. Suspect the rind had been shaved off the meat before it became pulled pork. Another little niggling point was the condiments- can you seriously be a restaurant after replacing cruets with paper packets of salt and pepper?

Don’t bother asking for a wine list here - the landlord will just tell you “white or red.” Because of lack of a wine menu - I was embarrassingly trying to confer with my mum over which bottle she’d like to share while the landlord rudely said “hope you don’t take this long when ordering meals.” We should have walked out! Meal quality is the worst we’ve seen in a long time - I was allowed to swop my meal (an uncomfortable ask) and the pies out of the 4 meals ordered were the only thing edible. Not a nice atmosphere in there at all! We could not wait to leave!

Great and good value pub grub.Lovely service

Great food . Lovely place . However they seem to just pick and choose when they cook . 4 of us were told that there was a back log in the kitchen - there were about 8 people waiting for food and an empty bar . This was at 7.50pm !

Excellent pub. Good food. Friendly. What more could you ask. Didn't experience rooms so can't rate. If as good as the atmosphere they are brilliant.

Had lunch at Masons Arms. Not very good. Apart from the chips. Smallest portion of peas I have ever seen. Biggest pile of salad leaves. Altogether poor service. Would not recommend.

A really welcoming pub, we stayed at the White House hotel, and got recommended to visit The Masons Arms, we absolutely loved it here, we spent both of our evenings in the masons arms, the food was absolutely amazing, I was shocked on how large the portion sizes were, really impressed!I highly recommend this place. Next time we visit we will definitely be staying in one of their rooms also! X

Whilst staying in the village we came across this little gem. On arrival both the locals and the lady behind the bar were extremely friendly, informing us about places to visit and also recommending the local gin and lager. We both ordered steak and chips and weren’t disappointed. The homemade chips were the best ever and plenty of them! Both steaks were cooked to perfection. We enjoyed our meal so much that we cancelled our booking for the next night and returned. I had curry (with the chips of course), my husband had the burger and again the meals were amazing. The waitress was very friendly. Definitely worth a visit *****
