Good food and friendly staff. We went s an alternative to using the M5 services as we wanted to take our dog inside with us. It was a welcomed alternative. We will be back.

We has a family get together just before Christmas and had the Christmas menu. The staff were busy but happy and helpful. The food was lovely and the 3 courses spread out well so we didn't feel rushed. By far our go to pub for meals and atmosphere.

Booked for a group gathering. Service was very slow, and the staff were a bit tetchy when quizzed why several items on their new menu were not available. They blamed a supplier issue, but no one told us it was a limited menu prior to us turning up. In the end, the one item i liked on the reduced menu was steak. For £28 I would expect a well cooked steak, but in fact, it was much colder than the chips sold with it. Another in our group had shepherd's pie, which they said was not nice as it seemed to be overpowered by one ingredient but was not sure what it was. Puddings were also limited, so I did not bother, so I can not comment on them. Over all I would say over priced and only average quality.

Staff was rude and arrogant, food was cold and disgusting and had a hair on it which clearly wasn't mine as it was a long hair and I have short hair, was told by the manager they wouldn't do anything to fix it then they rushed off without saying another word. The bit of food I did have was abysmal. Cleanliness was also lacking as the menus were sticky and dirty as were the tables. Would never eat here again, avoid.

Only had drinks, nice surroundings, big pub, busy for a Tuesday night with atmosphere. Need to drive. Only gripe my friend described her hot chocolate as,"luke warm chocolate". Still...would definitely go back. If you're looking for the loos, you have fo walk through the bookcase!

Lovely looking pub. Beautifully decorated. Plenty of parking. Dog friendly. They don't accept cash so make sure you have a card on you.Food was OK but expensive for the small portion sizes. (I'm not the first to comment on this I note).Staff were pleasant but the service was very slow. Waited some considerable time for food to arrive, dishes weren't cleared for a good 20 minutes after we stacked them up as a hint. We were asked if we wanted dessert (which we did). No dessert menus were forthcoming so we had to approach a staff member near the bar to fetch them ourselves. We also had to ask twice for the bill.Haven't eaten here for a while and it never used to be like this.. think it's changed hands and is now owned by a brewery. Staff issues could be easily addressed by the new owners. ( Just a little more attention to detail needed).

We booked a table while driving on the M5 and couldn't have been happier. We were greeted with great cheeriness and shown to a lovely table after ordering drinks from the bar.The menu covered all our needs, we hadn't eaten all day so were very hungry. The food came really quickly, the Arancini were apparently delicious, the crab ravioli amazing, would happily pay for that as a main meal. The ham hock terrine I loved! The mains were absolutely to die for! Flavours were incredible ..... we left feeling absolutely stuffed and without puddings... unheard of!!The staff were truly lovely, friendly, attentive and a credit to the business.Sorry... we will definitely be back ?

Had a lunch time meal. Very quiet but food was excellent, little slow taking our order but apart from that the staff were very pleasant. Unfortnately only take card which I can never understand as it costs them so much in fees & those the fees go to the banks!I Fortunately was with someone who had a card I prefer Cash.

Disappointing and expensive. 3pm on a Sunday.Roast Beef: tough, chewy beef, I really needed a steak knife. Tepid roast potatoes which were tough and dry. Insignificant amount of vegetables, spoilt with various 'flavours'. Runny tasteless gravy. Very large impressive looking but bland Yorkshire pudding.Fish and Chips. Very nice chips, reasonable fish, the better of the two meals. Sticky Toffee Pudding which would have cost over £7, (if bought separately to the Roast Beef) was very pleasant, but serving with caramel crunch ice cream, was a sweetness step too far.On arrival we had to ask at the bar if they had seating for two. Once seated, ignored for a long time by staff. Eventually our drinks order was taken then we had to ask to order our food. No one checked we were happy with our food. Waited quite a while for someone to ask us of we wanted anything else, once first course was finished after 20 mins we went and asked for some help.We watched another couple arrive then give up trying to get food ordered who then left. Appreciate that staff were busy but the lack of care and attention, and seemingly chaotic methods they chose to cover the tables resulted in our decision to never return.Parking facilities very adequate. Access to toilets hidden behind false bookcase was somewhat frustrating if you didnt know.It could have been so good, such a shame.

A really convenient place to stop if you’re on the M5 and want something better to eat than service station fare at Taunton Deane. The pub is spotlessly clean and has quirky features like the toilets hidden behind a fake bookcase! The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was tasty. I had chicken and ham hock pie on a bed of shredded cabbage and mash. Excellent. Will definitely go back.

A mixed review. The food was lovely though £16 for a cottage pie that was the smaller as a child’s is questionable. The child’s meal was actually bigger! Love that this place was dog friendly however being a family pub, it was more *older* child friendly. Visited with my two children, 1 who is under 2. We were provided with a glass for her despite the lovely waitress saying a carton of juice was available. Under the impression that a ‘carton’ was a juice box & with one child being too young for a glass. We did ask if there was a plastic alternative or child’s different drink choice & lady behind the bar simply said “no we don’t provide plastic.” Later to see others with juice boxes in the play area. Play area is a nice but again it’s not suitable for toddlers… pram access is very restricted to get to this area. Frustrating!

Amazing food, my woodland chicken was perfect and the wild mushrooms wonderful.Hubbys burger done just and he could have it without the cheese.Great service and lovely staff.I was a bit cold though but would stop us from going again or recommending.

Cornfields Dancing

Great pub for outstanding food and drink. I have never had a poor meal or service. Best to book a table as it gets busy at the weekends. Ample parking.

Fantastic food, great service. There was only 4 staff on and they were working their socks off and did a brilliant job, I hope they are paid well.

A very good evening and pleasant surroundings. A good pub menu and everything served well. A bonus that they are dog friendly. Thank you.
