We enjoyed a lovely evening at Zizzi in Taunton.Without overplaying it, a newer member of their team made a bit of an error within the ordering process, but the staff were fab in dealing with it. It happens and it didn't spoil anything as they were all great, leaving an overriding enjoyment of our evening. The food was lovely, staff great and attentive without being intrusive, the atmosphere was just right, and we left happy we'd chosen the right venue to celebrate a birthday. Definitely recommend!Dietary restrictions: I can't say anything about any food produced because we don't have any allergies, but we were asked upon arrival, and again when one of our party removed an item, so I'd say the staff are well trained and aware of different people's requirements and potential issues.

Very nice italian restaurant. The arancini were really good and the pizza very nice dough and taste. The ravioli were really good also and the place cozy and relaxing atmosphere.

Visited on Christmas Eve, the restaurant was fairly quiet but started getting busier as we left. All of the team that we spoke to were helpful, I'm gluten intolerant but don't need the fuss of it being treated as an allergen and the team were happy with this as well as checking if one of the festive specials could be made GF (it was and it was very tasty). Food was perfect as always and the cheerful team gave us a happy festive start to Christmas.Dietary restrictions: Very inclusive of gluten and dairy allergies/intolerances

We were a group of 13 and had a delicious meal with good service from the staff. Just a pity I couldn't use the cash in my purse as its a cashless venue.

An excellent branch of Zizzi's. The staff were friendly, efficient and polite. The food was plentiful and mine came with a gluten free flag which is always reassuring. We will definitely return.

Arrived 20 mins before the table was reserved I asked if we could have some drinks first. We was shown to our table and within two mins of sitting down a waitress asked for our drinks order. I said can you give us time to look at the menu. I which she came back and took the drinks order within 5 mins. Upon returning I was asked for my food order in which I stated can we have some more time please. The restaurant had about 4 other tables at this point. It was not busy and there 5 members of staff at the bar. When bringing the drinks over we was again asked for my food order. In which I have starters and mains. Out starters came out in no time. We was being watched like hawks at this point by one waitress I’m assuming we was in her station of tables. I finished my meal and within minutes she swooped in and removed my plate what I didn’t agree with my partner was not finished. Then continued to return every few minutes looking over my partners shoulder to see if she was finished. As soon as she was in she came again and took her plate. I am not joking when I say this within a minute our mains was infront of us. I said excuse me. We have just finished our starters you didn’t even ask how the food was at all or if we was ready for mains. She said this is company policy. I have eaten in Exeter Zizzi twice in October and the service was not like this. She took our meals away. I ordered more drinks and within 20 mins the food was brought back. Luke warm, What’s worse we both had shellfish pasta. The sauce on the carbonara was now clumpy and my scollop was so dry and stuck to the shell I couldn’t get it out. The waitress checked back in which I said I and sorry I am not eating the it’s like warm it’s a food hazard. Her reply was well I put it in the heater!! Her words to a paying customer. She asked if we wanted fresh in which I said it should have been done again it was your mistake not mine. She laughed and walked away. Returning with our bill with the mains of £18 each still on what we both commented we are not paying for those. She went to another women who I think was a manager and she at this point was charging around while the other women was talking to her and looking at our table. I am disgusted at the service and the food hazards that they thought would be okay to serve. I will not be returning ever again. A date night completely ruined because staff could cooperate with there dinners properly.
