We sat outside as my mother has s small well behaved miniature daschund. Someone sat next to us and instantly lit a cigarette. I could not sit there with my 2 young grandchildren or my mother in the smoke so we moved indoors. A miserable female staff member immediately object even though the dog on her knee . We informed about the smoking and that young children were in the smoke but basically she was more concerned about the dog than them. We have been in previous Costas with no problem . Please review your policy regarding smoking on the premises and why not think about having some dog friendly attitude in the future

Wellington is a nice little town with some boutique shops. I spent about 40 minutes to walk up and down the high street and a few side streets before ending my trip at this Costa. It is small and it was quite but it had all the benefits of the average Costa with the added charm of the local staff who were really nice.

Mid afternoon on Friday nice and relaxed when I arrived, ordered coffee and cake, found a seat all good so far. Cafe then invaded by a group of women with loads of kids in tow. Kids dumped on a table next to me unsupervised, yelling and shouting, staff did nothing to ask the women to control the kids. Completely spoiled what should have been a pleasant interlude in the afternoon. Luckily plenty of alternative venues in the town to use in the future.
