We came here for lunch as we saw they had a couple of veggie options on the menu. I ordered the mushroom pie with chips which was quite nice. Decent size too and the chips were good. My husband had the veggie burger which he enjoyed, again the chips were nice. We ordered the veggie sausages with peas and beans for our baby. The sausages were rock hard and very dry (literally struggled to even cut them). We asked for a replacement which was quite straightforward and the staff were very kind about it and polite. They actually replaced his whole meal which was kind. Atmosphere was fine, toilets were okay. The table was a bit wobbly an annoying and when I wiped it for my son to eat at the wipe was very dirty so that was a bit gross but otherwise kind of what you expected at a family pub.One thing which was alarming was how hot the plates were when served. Fine for adults but the waiter put a piping hot plate down in front of a 1 year old baby. I had to quickly move it away.It did have a good kids menu and was dog friendly.

Very good food, plentiful and well presented. Very friendly staff, at all levels ? Excellent choice of beers and ciders, about average now in price. Can sit inside, large TV screens available for football and other major sporting events, attractive layout and some period features. Very attractive and welcoming outside beer garden and outside service is as equally good as inside the pub. My local pub, I'm only 4 minutes walk away, and good walks in the neighbouring Nine Springs Nature Park are to be found literally minutes away from the Cooper's Mill pub. I'm delighted that I have finally found a perfect local pub closeby! ?

Stopped here 09/03/2024. Staff friendly and helpful. Was busy but still plenty of seating inside. They have a car park and no payment needed. Reasonably priced.

Both the staff at Cooper's Mill were very pleasant and helpful. I was meeting up with a friend who has just finished medical treatment and is still a bit concerned about being with crowds of people. I mentioned this to Michael the barman and he took us to a empty seat in a quiet area of the pub. Nice gesture, much appreciated.

Food was a mix of good and so-so. Cauliflower cheese - cauliflower was hard and not nice, too much stalk used. Mushroom Ale pie was very nice, as was the Steak and Ale Pie, but turkey was watery. Peas, broccoli, mixed veg good. Gravy good. Roast potatoes, good.Service extremely slow for us.So slow we had to leave before the dessert arrived; it was too late and we'd been there 2 hours. We were in a quiet corner as asked, but decor (especially seats) had a tired feel to it.Parking: Several places available.

Had a great meal with my 3 grandchildren. Michael and the rest of the staff went out of their way to make sure we enjoyed our evening.
