The restaurant was dead quiet when we walked in on a Friday evening, which wasn’t great to see. Waiter was friendly and attentive although did feel like an inconvenience towards the end of the night when the chefs came out and seemed waiting for us to leave. We ordered one of the set menus which was really lovely and although there was quite a few ‘courses’ of food and it was of really great quality I don’t think it warranted £38 a head. The food was really tasty and it was great to attempt to eat with chop sticks. However if you want something to fill you up, I would suggest going elsewhere..

What a fantastic place.... We love japanese food and sushi and so glad we found this little gem... The food is excellent, best we had for a long time... All at a reasonable price.This is a small restaurant in a relax atmosphere and great staff. The tasters set menu are a great idea...We drove a hour without knowing what we would find... I am so glad we did and we will go back despite the 2 hours round trip...

Our son loves Japanese food and we went to celebrate his 13th birthday, his verdict... the best meal he has ever had! This place is unassuming, unpretentious but serves excellent food with great staff in a relaxed environment. It was well worth the 1 hour journey to go there, we will be back.

I’m an unassuming backstreet of this sleepy Somerset town is a hidden gem. Nothing tells you that something special is here. The outside of the restaurant looks like a cheap Chinese takeaway. When I entered my spirits rose a little at the simple but clean decor. I was the only customer which never feels good. Quickly I was seated and given a menu, and I ordered. Kapow! The food here is first class. I have in been to Japan many times, and adore Japanese food and boy can the chef here cook. Every single dish was zinging with having been lovingly freshly cooked. Really top class food at an extraordinary low price.
Six of us ate here last night and I have to say that the food was nothing short of superb. The biggest problem was choosing what to have. My wife and I went for the taste of Japan and every dish was a delight. I don't think that we have ever had better Sushi. We were there for three hours, had several drinks each and the bill came to a very reasonable three hundred pounds. We will definitely be going again. We are so lucky to have this place in Yeovil.

Always a pleasure to come back to this amazing lil restaurant. I've been here the first time in 2018 and ever since my expectations for sushi have been set very high and no other restaurant reached my expectations. This is by far the best sushi restaurant I've ever been to. I don't get to visit as often as I wish but when I do I'm always amazed again like the first time by how good it tastes how good the service and the atmosphere is. Thank you Daniel Sushi for being such a lil gem of a restaurant.
