We visited on Easter Sunday, we were away from home for the weekend and this was a really welcome treat!Staff were friendly and helpful and allowed us to order in advance (we had a 30 minute journey as we were out camping).When we arrived food was ready to go and hot. The packing in boxes for each fish was a nice touch and each was sealed, with sealed hand wipe too. Great touch.Food was absolutely fantastic. Some of the best fish and chips we’ve had! Well worth the 30 minute drive!Thank you so much for the great service and food. If we’re ever in the area we’ll certainly be calling in again.Thanks

Ordered the meal deal, 2x large fish and chips, with drinks and sauce, fantastic price for the amount of food and extras. The food itself was piping hot, the chips and fish were perfect. We've tried many other chippies around Thorne, and these guys are easily the best.

CHIP STOP THORNE 6.30pm. Ordered a chicken kebab and garlic mushrooms for me and sahara to share. It was cold the bread snapped and the kebab was not worth the £10.80 itself. I rang up and they said do you want a re-order or a refund. I said well we are hungry re-order please. Then they sent someone out so im stood at the doorstep in the cold while they took picures of my plate. Embarrassing or what! Who does that. So now it gets to 8 and I call asking where the food is. The owner said youre not getting any because you ate some of the food. My daughter ate part of hers because it wasnt hot. I said well i want a refund, im a single parent . They just ignored me and hung up. I called back and said i will tie your phonelines up until i get my refund. They said block her. So me being me, jumped in the car and went to the shop and sat there. I said im not moving till you refund me. 10 years I lived in Turkey and never once was treated in such a disgusting way. So after a massive arguement I got my refund. CHIP STOP THORNE 0% FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE

The best fish and chips ever!First visit and the place is so nice and clean, which is good start.The large haddock was cooked to order and the batter was incredible, so light, fluffy and crunchy and the fish was a good chunk too.I had a mixed (chicken and lamb shish kebab and again the meat was cooked to order, with a nice charged sear. Both meats were tender and tasty.Price was a little on the expensive side but the food justified the price paid.These guys know what they are doing and they clearly care very much about their products.Definitely going back again!

Haven't had a bad meal yet, I've tried quite a few things now and all of it has been great. Quick delivery, the delivery lady is lovely, always happy, smiling, having a laugh. Any issues and they deal with it very very quickly. Foods always red hot. Can't fault this place at all!
