Give this man a raise. Went today (19th May, 2021 at 4pm). The gentleman who served me was very friendly, smile on his face, with fast and efficient service. He was everything you could as for.\\n\\nFor someone with disabilities, he made me feel very comfortable and at ease.

This review is for the Costa Coffee inside the main station, rather than on the platform. The barista was really delightful, friendly and knowledgable, I enjoyed my iced latte

Last year, on a cold December morning i decided to warm myself up with one of the christmas limited edition toasties. I chose the classic one, with stuffing, cranberry sauce and turkey.\\nAs i have never tried this sandwich before, I was a bit sceptical, i mean, how good can it be? (spoiler alert: REALLY GOOD)\\nI remember being cold and miserable, being exhausted after 3 consecutive days of waking up at 4 am to go to college. I wasn't expecting anything to brighten my day this much.\\nIt was freezing outside, the sandwich was hot. As i took my first bite, a symphony of flavours started dancing on my tongue. Salty stuffing, sweet and tangy cranberry sauce, hot turkey.... nothing else mattered. I didn't care about my upcoming essay, i didn't care that the train was a little late, i only cared about my sandwich. Nothing could ruin my day.\\nTL;DR They have good toasties.

I always go to Costa if I can as I prefer their coffee but the Costa near the Cathedral in Wakefield is the worst one I've been in. It wasn't busy at all but tables hadn't been cleared including the ones on my table. One table was covered in milk which had run onto the floor but no attempt was made to clear it up. Admittedly, it was in the corner so maybe it hadn't been noticed . Nevertheless, it looked very messy for new customers coming in and it was still in the same state when I left.

A LIFE SAVER on many of my journeys and the blonde girl is a true delight. Whatever you are paying her is not enough. Her presence, charm, warmth and efficiency are a joy to behold. Recommended without hesitation

Costa staff at the station are really friendly and helpful even when busy with the rush hour commuters. Thanks for being so cheery when we're all still half asleep

The coffee itself is okay, even quite good if you're careful to select the right drink, but the service is always slow. The Lakeside location, the one that is actually a part of the Lakeside shops, the layout is a disaster so when you are waiting in the queue to order, you're having to shout your drink over people because of the cramped space and crazy noise levels. On top of that, once you've ordered, it's now time to stand in some imaginary queue which doesn't exist because of the layout so you stand with your backside in other people's faces, people who are sat down at their tables trying to enjoy their "peaceful" coffee experience. It's pure crazy and not an enjoyable experience at all. You leave feeling frustrated and wishing you'd have gone elsewhere for your coffee. Pastries are nice, always a good selection, however when flies start coming around in the warmer weather, this location doesn't seem to cover up the food which means you're taking a gamble at which little creature has been enjoying a rest on your muffin.

Visited when dropping off a relative at the station and the one young lady serving managed a miracle in retail! She was friendly, polite, made 2 drinks perfectly VERY quickly and outshone her town centre counterparts who struggled to make a single drink in twice the time with half of the queue! I'm taking detours through the train station for all my Costa!
