What a gem of a find! Hoi Choi is an absolute must for anyone who enjoys high-quality cuisine coupled with excellent service, all at outstanding prices. Honestly, we thought we'd stumbled on another "Cosmo" or Low-brow Wagamama style place, when we saw the website but this is so far removed from either of these.Hoi Choi is classy and relaxed; offers food that is actually hot and freshly-cooked; doesn't scrimp on the ingredients and provides an atmosphere that is "grown up" without feeling snooty. It really is everything you could want from a Pan Asian restaurant. The service was outstanding, with Fez (our server) being wholly attentive without ever being pushy or loitering in any way.The Early Bird menu is replete with options, all at full-size portions, and, frankly, I'd happily have paid full whack, it was that good.Because part of the restaurant's ethos is built around serving food as soon as it's ready, there isn't a long wait for food, so you can actually spend time together enjoying the meal and conversation, rather than sitting waiting.Honestly, I hope people get behind Hoi Choi, as it's an absolute must to visit; we're already planning our return trip.

Glad to have tried but we wouldn't return, the food was average.

Went for the first time with a friend and the food was delicious. Very generous with the portions we ordered. I had some mock tails and they were just as good as the real thing. Our waiter was Fez and he was very polite. I would recommend.

What a wonderful place to eat. A group of us were there this evening celebrating a birthday. The food, hospitality and atmosphere was absolutely ?% ?. Would certainly make a return visit. Highly recommendable.

When we arrived at the restaurant our friends were talking to the waiter about a Pepsi being flat, the waiter returned with a replacement. This was also flat and didn't even have any fizz when stirred. The waiter became incredible argumentative and insisted this was fresh and poured in front of him, we tried to tell him on several occasions we believed it had been but it didn't change the fact it was flat. After several more minutes of him arguing with us, we eventually asked to speak to a manager. The "manager" that came over was dismissive and unprofessional, he told our friend that maybe Pepsi wasn't the drink for her haha.We eventually had the drink changed for a none alcoholic lager. When we went to order the starters and mains we were told that we couldn't order the mains with the starters, as then everything would come out together, as it was ready. We would have to order the mains once our starters came otherwise there would be a 30 minute wait. Weird but we could work with it.We then had a magician come to the table who showed us some card tricks that were brilliant and had us all laughing and joking. Then the starters arrived... what can we actually say about these; raw chicken and what looked like 5 day old lettuce. We again asked the waiter to come over and showed him the chicken and lettuce, he started making excuses, about the food being under a heat lamp and it being prepared in the morning ready for the evening. The thing was we also ordered a lamb starter which had crisp and fresh lettuce. At this point we thought it was best to leave; as no one was taking our concern seriously and we had real concern about the food quality. They did take off the starters from the bill (as we hadn't ordered the mains). They still had the cheek to bill us for the drinks but whatever we had drank them (waiting for our food). As we were leaving we saw the magician who was obviously surprised to see us leaving, given the fun we had with him. We had also left him a tip, as he really was good. We explained the situation & he directed us to whom I assume is the actual manager. We showed and told him about all the issues we had, he had the good grace to seem very apologetic and compo'd the drinks we had paid for (I haven't received this as of yet & didn't get a receipt but he did seem very genuine). The thing is we aren't the type to complain about nothing and actually went to a steak house from here, where we left a 10% tip (around £25) & we have also left them positive feedback for a fantastic service.Ps my friend had a Pepsi her and really enjoyed it ??

Just had the most amazing meal here, we had the squid and gyoza entree and the chicken katsu and the prawn massaman curry, epic food better than the competition (wagamammas)Would highly recommend ?

The restaurant is pretty and looks great, but found the food some what sub par. Butter chicken tasted more like tomato soup and drinks were over priced.
