We come here as a family or as as a couple at least once a month . The food is always top quality and cooked fresh . The wine selection is well priced and quality. Nothing is too much trouble and dishes are adapted to suit tastes . Really enjoy eating here and would highly recommend it . Oh also top homemade desserts too .

Absolutely recommend this restaurant. The food is outstanding and atmosphere warming. Staff are so lovely, especially Michael. We had gone there to celebrate my birthday and they couldn’t do enough. They made it very special with a drink and dessert. We will certainly return.

we visited on sat 4th feb 2023 The food was excellent, best Italian we have ever had. cosmin looked after us wonderfully and nothing was a problem. Excellent food, Excellent service we will be back to visit soon
Absolutely fantastic! Lamb shank was cooked to perfection and the pizzas…..well!! Best I’ve had in England!! We will definitely be back next time we’re here. Really wish we had something like this in Cornwall.

I visited Da Leo with a group of friends and colleagues for dinner, there were about 20 of us. We were greeted well by the young, dedicated staff and sat on one long table. This is a lovely traditional style Italian Restaurant and offers warm hospitality and a very nice menu with a wide range of course and good quality wines. Everyone enjoyed their meal and the service, I personally had Bruschetta to start and a really nice filer steak as a main, it was cooked to perfection and literally melted in your mouth, accompanied by a superb bottle of Caro Maestro. It must be daunting when a party of 20 arrive but the service and food were excellent, we all had a very nice evening.

First off, I’m a big fan of Italian cuisine, though a lot of places serve the same old stereotypical dishes. Not true of Da Leo! We’ve been wanting to try this blink-and-miss it restaurant for a while now, so when friends asked if we’d like to do an early dinner, we all but jumped at the chance! The staff are warm and welcoming, attentive but not intrusive - a mark of good hospitality. The food is of excellent quality, with generous portions of succulent delights in each dish. We took in three courses, all of which were outstanding and well paced - we weren’t over-full nor over-anxious for the next course when it appeared. Given that we had small children amongst our party, this was greatly appreciated! The layout is somewhat unconventional, as the restaurant is in a corner plot in the city centre, with its takeaway directly on the corner, and the separated dining restaurant wrapping around in an L-shape. This means there’s good seating whilst also maintaining a cosy feel. The Italian music playing in the background also adds to this homely and welcoming ambiance. Overall we had a fantastic time at Da Leo and would highly recommend dining there!
