3rd time we have stayed here (girls nite out). Rooms are clean,large and comfy. Bathrooms recently refurbished so clean. Ideally situated for town/night life we had rooms on front of hotel and we slept well don't hear any late night noise. Staff are nice x polite .

Really great stay. Came and stayed over night for the races. I was able to drop my bag early in the day and then was taken to my room by the time I returned. My room looked like it had recently been refurbished and was sport on. A good breakfast too. The location is great for the centre of town.

Service was amazing all staff were very friendly especially when it came to breakfast. The food was delightful. Continental style buffet and then a cooked breakfast on top. Delish! Beds were very comfy, especially the very soft pillows. Definitely will stay again

Avoid this hotel - as stated by many other reviewers, they cancel on you once demand rises so they can charge a higher price to other people. This happened last year to us & we foolishly gave them another chance by booking again this year & yes you guessed it they cancelled at last minute again. Totally unreliable & greedy and then you’re left with the headache of trying to book elsewhere at short notice ?

DO NOT BOOK!! cancelled last minute as over booked this is two year they have done this to me now!! when I called supervisor just said call booking.com rang them and they told me the the hotel had cancelled as over booked

Before I booked this hotel I had read the reviews, some people were saying the hotel cancels on you after you have booked. I took the chance and booked 2 rooms for September 2023 , I booked these about 2 months ago and today I got an email saying they have cancelled my rooms ?? I rang them , they said it was booking.com which had done it .when I phoned booking.com they said it was definitely the hotel . It’s all to do with getting more money for the rooms as demand goes up . This is a horrible hotel to deal with Can’t be trusted Never book this hotel They might well let you down DONT EVER BOOK

Booked last October for Paul Heaton this week ....surprise they cancelled was told by reception Head Office had told them to cancel all bookings due to Covid....wish I had their vision to see 9 months ahead...perhaps they can give me the winning lottery numbers
Great place for horse racing. Clear views of the track and plenty of seating. My only criticism is that if you want a drink in the bar then make sure you remortgage your house first! Most racecourses are pricey but Pontefract is astronomical

We had bought tickets to see Paul Heaton in July at Doncaster FC, we had a booking for four adults for two nights. I received an email to say that our rooms had been cancelled and no reason given! We were offered no alternate accommodation and because of the concert taking place we unable to find any vacant Hotels in the area, the closet was 13 miles away.Disgusting customer service my advice would be to avoid at all cost as they appear to cancel bookings at the drop of a hat and give no concern or consideration to the customer.

Booked this hotel for a 2 night stay in July prior to purchasing tickets for Paul Heaton concert to ensure we had accommodation, all was confirmed through booking.com, tickets purchased for gig your hotel then cancelled the booking. Not happy as tickets have cost over £100 and no alternative accommodation available. Due to you not honouring the agreement we have now lost money..
