We popped in for breakfast during a cycle ride.My picture probably doesn’t do the breakfast justice. The sausages were amazing, cherry tomatoes a good touch and to finish with the sour dough toast was divine. All in all, it wasn’t cheap (£35 for three drinks and 3 standard breakfasts) but it was tasty and a friendly venue that I’d visit again if I was passing by.

Brilliant shame they don't have permission to open on Sunday and bank holidays. All home cooking fantastic

Called in yesterday to purchase a slice of cake as I was passing on my weekend walk. The homemade cakes looked gorgeous and could not choose between a Bakewell tart or a lemon meringue...after a bit of banter with the owner I opted for the Bakewell and departed...I found a bench and settled down for my treat.... imagine my joy when opening the box and found both a slice of Bakewell and Meringue... and to make it even better, both of them were superb..what a lovely gesture !! so, take my advice and call in when you are in the area...

Excellent little tea room . Homemade cakes, the fat rascals and sausage rolls were excellent, good value for money and make a decent latte. Lovely friendly owners and staff. Definatly would use again and recommend to others

I went to Mowbray for lunch with my mother, we both had gammon and it was amazing, the owner was friendly and welcoming, I'm sure it won't be long before we return.

We had one of the best breakfasts we have had for a long time! Freshly made to order and top quality ingredients! Highly recommended.
This place is just heaven on earth, we visit atleast once a week. Everything is homemade and prepared with love and a lot of experience. Great quality!

Popped in for a coffee....lovely and friendly good service and then continued our walk around the village.
Passed by on way back to campsite, it looked full so went in to buy a cake to takeaway, they all looked delicious, lucky for us a table became available so lunch was now on the cards.
I had the brie and chutney panini and my husband had the vegi breakfast, everything was 5*, including the service. 2 eccles purchased to take back to campsite .....not eaten yet but they do look delicious. We eat in cafes quite alot on our travels and this is the first one in a long long time that didn't disappoint in any way, so stop by when near Haxey, also dog friendly??
