Awful ! Based on reviews on this site went for dinner. The staff were distracted although not busy , almost seated ourselves, given menus but had to put order in at the bar. The fish and chips very poor , frozen fries and not freshly battered fish just freezer to deep fryer thrown together , very poor Had to go to bar to pay Before we left Customer service awful would not recommend

Really really lovely food! It was 50% off too which was amazing ! Family loved it and little baby loved the waitress even more! She was amazing with her which really was nice as she was entertaining her and keeping her happy! Birthday meal of dreams! Such a warm and welcoming place

I booked a couple of nights at the Lodge which is part of The Olive Bar and Grill. The room was a little tired but extremely clean and very comfortable. Wednesday evening I popped in for dinner and was tempeted by the chicken in rosemary and garlic it was delicious and I was extremely suprised by the cost HALF PRICE! Thursday night was steak night I didn't know what to expect with #steakontherocks but 440° volcanic rock apparently. Slice it or dice it, let the rock do its thing and take it off when done to your liking. De~lic~ious well worth the experience and great price too. (Check out the mouth watering image) They also offer something a little more excotic but not really my thing. Staff were A~MAZ~ING! They could not have been more helpful and extremely friendly. I was travelling by myself but they made me feel right at home. Thank You.

We were really excited about going to the Olive Restaurant and loved the décor and the ambience, also the staff were lovely. We ordered a Sunday lunch and were astonished when the meal was served to the table, as the slices of beef were quite thick. Unfortunately the meat and vegetables were tough. Nice to see the place but won't be going back for food again.

The food here is fantastic, it never fails to disappoint, Sunday lunch is amazing, Christmas lunch is fantastic and gammon is my favourite to just enjoy anytime. Massive portions and quality food. Lovely staff and fab atmosphere, very relaxed. Spotlessly clean.

After a bad experience at The Glasshouse down the road. The Olive did not dissapoint. Great food, Great service. And to top it off, Monday to Wednesday, after 5.00 pm there is 50% off food
Booked for Sunday lunch before we travelled back to Kent, Karen was our waitress and she was amazing, very welcoming, warm and catered to our every need, the roast was bang on, huge Yorkshire Puddings, and offered extra veg, tatties & gravy at no extra cost. I would definitely recommend The Olive and would go back in a heartbeat ?

Went here for a meal and a night away from the kids, friendly and quick service as soon as we entered and were seated, were left just the right amount of time to look over the menu, the food was absolutely phenomenal, some of the best we'd had in the area! Service brilliant, food amazing, we will definitely be returning, thank you for a lovely night.

We went for a family meal at The Olive on 12th August 2023. It was the first time we had been there and chose it because it's not part of a pub chain as we wanted to support a local independent restaurant.We all had burgers and they were really AMAZING, all were homemade with pure beef in a brioche bun. The accompanying chips were crispy on the outside and fluffy inside, who would believe chips could be so good?The desserts were fabulous, especially the carmalised apple cobber.The whole meal was really great value for money.The lovely lady that served us was really friendly, not the usual type of service you get in pubs run by chains. She really engaged with us.We will definitely be going back the next time we got out for a meal.
