Read lots of good reviews so gave it a try. Unfortunately everything was overcooked.. It was fairly early tea time so I reckon it was left from lunch and refried or kept warm. Could barely cut through the battered sausage and most of the chips were too crispy. Shame, nice service.

Very friendly couple run the shop. The fish is the tastiest we've had. Only issue with the place is sometimes it isn't open when it should be according to Google.

First visit as Lonsdale Fisheries wasn't open (on a Saturday?) and pleasantly surprised. Friendly staff, good food and decent portions. Got the large chips as wasn't:t sure of portions. Enough for two unless you're really hungry.

My first time ordering had fish pie jumbo battered sausage chips peas and curry sauce everything was absolutely spot on. I will definitely be visiting this chip shop again. Friendly staff efficient service.

Been twice now on the recommendation of a friend and not been disappointed.honestly the best fried fish butty ive ever had.very readonable price too.lovely
I don't understand the bad reviews! We found this place by accident after driving around and we are obsessed! The chips are beaut, the gravy is beaut, the sausages are beaut not cheap! And my cousins said the beans are also nice. Really dont understand the bad reviews cos everything is nice and the staff are lovely :)

Asked for 2 LARGE I say LARGE chips and a gravy was charged £7.40 and was given 2 different sizes a large in wrapping was was large but then was given chips In a tray what you would put a burger and chips in and they sed it is in a large try so avoid at all costs and the chips were rank and like bullets will never go here again even if I was starving to deth
