Nom. Busy on a Friday lunchtime, but that just means freshly cooked. Very enjoyable. Not a great deal of change from a £10 for cod/chips/peas and a breadcake - but it's worth it.Parking: Parking is terrible. Park in B&M or Morrisons....

This shop would of been really good, a long time ago. Came today for the first time, chips dry and nothing on the hot shelves, 10minute minimum wait. Curry sauce was the best thing. Wont be returning in a hurry. Really clean and friendly staff.

Best fish and chips ever, the fresh Cod was cooked in a beautiful light crispy batter, other fish and chip shops could use their batter for Armour Plating!!! Can highly recommend.

Oh my word! The fish was so mouthwatering I ate really quickly to keep savouring the taste. We have tried all other fish and chips in Armthorpe, but they dont match up to Roberts for us.The batter didnt take over!!! Sometimes the chips arent as hot as we would like but if there isnt any fish waiting in the hot shelf,I prefer to have it cooked on demand. Most enjoyable and doesnt leave me feeling choked with grease and fat.???
Tried this chip shop today "what a big mistake" I ordered a jumbo Haddock and large chips. When i returned home the chips were a small portion, dry and hard and the supposedly jumbo Haddock was barely a large one. The Haddock was small cold and soggy. I phoned the shop and the guy who was frying the fish said it was his mistake and he had cooked a large instead of a jumbo. We waited over ten minutes and paid nearly eight pounds...... The guy on the phone offered me a sixty pence refund next visit, what a joke. The worst fish and chips i have ever had and nearly eight pounds down the drain.....Avoid at all costs!!!!!!

Called in today as I was working just round the corner, had just a large cod on its own, was told I would have to wait a few minutes, I have no problem with this as I know it's fresh out of the pan, the batter was crisp, the fish lovely and flakey and thoroughly enjoyed it.
