Excellent fish and chips at a good value. Fish was very fresh and batter was crispy and sweet. Chips really good as well. I couldn’t work out whether they were fried in beef, dripping or not but in any event tasted great!

Mum goes regularly as she lives in Doncaster and shops in the market, I went with her for the first time last week, we had small cod and chips each, was delicious, would go again and reasonably priced.

Magnificent bit of haddock and chips. Just the way it ought to be, crispy outside and fresh and juicy inside. Delicious. Plus good mushy peas, excellent onion tings, and a decent cup of tea to wash it down with. What more could you ask for? (And the girl serving at the counter has the prettiest eyes I've seen for ages, but that's another matter!)

I am at an age to remember what fish and chips tasted like 70 years ago. Over the years the way we cook fish and chips and taste of fish and chips has achieved disappointing results.I decided to have a fish and chip meal in the Rothwells restaurant. I was very pleasantly surprised at how good and pleasing the meal turned out to be. In fact I now regularly visit for a meal. They have an extensive menu with drinks and the service is excellent. Very good value meals.

Had the £5 special, small cod, chips and mushy peas. Absolutely delicious. Lovely white fish, crispy batter and good size. Friendly staff. Would not hesitate to go back again.
