Ignore the low ratings ... they are probably from Barnsley!! There is nothing wrong with this pub, it's workers or the food. They even cooked us a piece of chicken for our dog. What a gem of a find on our weekend here

When the sun shines there is no better pub to sit outside and enjoy a drink.The John Smiths cask I really can recommend.The spitfire was really nice today and the Pheasant, I think it was, pale ale.Why does beer always taste better outside in the sun?

Decent traditional village pub, they have some wonderful food outlets that come through the week and park in the front of pub carpark...Pizza, Greek, Burgers and other pop up food stands. Decent traditional ales and good prices ? plenty of space to park, large car park..Nice area to sit out when it's sunny on a summers day. Nice friendly staff and all round Decent village pub ? ?
Best pint of John Smith's for miles.try the warm pork scratchings amazing.i can't comment on the food as only stopped for a pint on way home from fishing.
