A very disappointing visit to favourite pub. 3 Sunday lunches undercooked and waited too long to be asked the question. 10% discount for half eaten meals hardly compensated. Not inclined to risk desert. Appeared to be no adult available to talk to. Thankfully there are other pubs.

As a frequent diner, it was disappointing to write this. Ordered 2 Lamb dinners. There was hardly any meat, a lot of fat. In addition, one of the vegetables was sweet corn. After informing, we were told it’s because it’s the shoulder of Lamb, which is fatty. As the Sunday Lunch is in the highest price of others in the area, this is unacceptable. The only saving grace is that it is always served piping hot.

Absolutely terrible. Paid £80 for 4 meals to be delivered yes you read that right 80 pounds. When it got here, I was heavily disappointed. I ordered sausage, mash and Yorkshire pudding with onion gravy. The mash was severely lumpy with no flavour. There was a tiny drizzle of gravy which was watery and only a tiny portion of the mash was covered. The sausages were really cheap and pink in the middle. No flavour at all. The Yorkshire pudding was burnt and hard to eat with absolutely no gravy over it at all. We also ordered pudding. The brownie was bitesize. The two rhubarb crumbles were like watery vomit. The cookie dough was burnt. Absolutely terrible for 80 pounds! The picture attached is the apple crumble!

Just spent £81 on a meal for 4 delivered to home address. Very disappointed the food wasn't good. ordered steak pie hardly any gravy it was dry the chips were rubbery. Rhubarb crumble not sure where the crumble is. Might be a great pub but don't recommend home delivery! Really sorry to leave a poor review.

First time visit - lovely pub with home made food and good beer…, Steven was very chatty and welcoming. We ordered the chicken kebab, steak pie and lasagna…. We were all really happy with our food and will definitely be back. Plus plus 10% off food with your blue light card - thanks guys ??

went in for food 4 of us I had burger the wife and brother in law had steak pie sister in law had scampi and we all really enjoyed it me being the burger connoisseur lol thought it was one of the best burgers I've ever had i fished the wife's pie off and that was unbelievable too put this pub on your bucket list !!!! thanks bay horse will be seeing you again soon!!!

Visited on an evening in the week, and there was one other bloke and a couple there. He had been waiting for his food for 40 minutes when we put our order in. After about 20 minutes my food was served, except it wasn’t mine. I had ordered the same meal as the man sat on his own. They gave me his meal by mistake, and it was a pie with undercooked pastry. An age later and our food arrived and the pastry was once again undercooked. I have been informed that the place used to be busy all the time with a better menu and better service. If things don’t improve quickly I fear they will get worse.
It was OK portion size a bit small asked for two Adults looked like children's that came.My eldest of 12 polished his of no problem. If the share dish of veg had been two individual dishes of veg for each meal may well have been enough. Also the free HAIR that came with the peas wasn't going to fill me up. Won't rush back in a hurry be going to Green tree Stone House instead.better value for the money

Really good home cooked food and pleasant staff. If camping at Hatfield Outdoor Centre it is within easy walking distance and definitely worth a visit for food and or a drink or 2. I had the fish pie off the specials board which was lovely and really filling.

Stopped by tonight for dinner, no phone so no photos. 2 adults and 2 children - steak, gammon, lasagne and butterfly chicken. All delicious and freshly cooked, the homemade chips and onion rings were excellent too. Friendly and courteous staff, will definitely be back. Thank you to Darren, Lilly, Charlotte and all the staff
