I went for a work Christmas party and the staff were so friendly and the service was incredible. I will definitely be going back soon ?Safety: They had many security cameras which made me feel alot safer being there for a drink... and within 15 minutes, 3 staff members were talking to me on a first name basis and checked up on me as I walked to the toilet to let me know someone was behaving strangelyWalkability: Complete access to both bars and the reception area... no where is off limits except the kitchen.Food & drinks: The food was incredible and the drinks were priced fairly for the kind of upscale place they were served... overall I had a great experience and have recommended the venue for the next night out :)Noteworthy details: The staff really put effort in to serving you quickly and kindly... The entire place looked lovely and welcoming... between the food and the happy environment they create there I can honestly say I had an amazing time :)!!

Christmas meal, only decent thing was the dessert unfortunately. No none alcoholic drinks available at reception, not really hard to offer orange juice instead of buck fizz.Food distribution was like a conveyor, worked in hospitality before n its not much of an ask to make sure table is made to feel important

Rooms a little dated, no plug sockets by the bed for charging lol but service great and food really nice. Went with work so location not an issue.Rooms: “Premier inn” style rooms but no issues.

Was here on Saturday for our works Xmas party, the function room was upstairs, a lift is available if needed, the room was decorated fantastically, you had a bar in there, over priced, 2 glasses of red wine £18.00, £6.25 for a pint, dj was ok, food was hot and there was a cold option, but no veggies to go with the meat and potatoes, but was cooked very well. Apart from that we had a fab night.

Went here for a Wake after a funeral. Lovely service and well organised. The art deco in the hotel was outstanding. Good location and within walking distance to the city.

Christmas lunch today was fantastic. The staff were friendly and very helpful. We loved the 1920's themed decor. Fabulous

My wife and I recently (Sunday 3rd Dec. 2023) attended a 1940's 50's afternoon tea dance. We thought the decor and ambience of the place was superb and an excellent surprise as it was our first visit to the hotel. The service from all the staff, reception, bar and waiters, was second to none. They could not do enough for our group (10 of us) despite being asked for all manner of different things. The afternoon tea was exceptionally good with excellent quality sandwiches, cakes and scones. We are now planning a second visit for a Sunday lunch and with our thoughts on the venue it may be a bigger goup next time. Keep up the very high standard.Noteworthy details: See above post.

Something of an enigma. From the outside it looks like a 1950s factory unit. But inside it’s an extravagant blast of art nouveau! 1920/30 chic everywhere. The staff are fabulous. Good food - freshly cooked to order breakfast. The rooms are quirky. I didn’t like not being able to open the window and the lack of surfaces for toothpaste etc in the bathroom has not been well thought through. The beds are old style and rather small. Not uncomfortable but not great. The public rooms are fabulous - think Strictly Come Dancing in Blackpool. Quirky sums the place up. Some bits fab, others need work. But you wouldn’t expect to find this is central Doncaster.

Went there for afternoon tea with friends to celebrate my 70th birthday, excellent service and food.

Our stay was a highlight of our 3-week UK visit. The room was large and well-appointed with large windows overlooking a tree-lined street. The Art Deco decor had been thoughtfully restored without sacrificing modern comfort. The staff was very friendly and accommodating (the barman went out of his way to meet a special request). The full-service restaurant offered a range of tasty meals at reasonable prices, and the included hot-cold breakfast was among the best we had. The location put it within walking distance of The Danum Library and the town center. We would definitely stay here again.Noteworthy details: For anyone attracted to Art Deco, the hotel was a gem - lots of deco detailing with just a bit of kitsch. The hotel is a popular venue for special events and it's not surprising.

Really quite pleased for a 49 year old man staying over one night for work. I stayed here once a few years ago..... It is a modern hotel in line with most however seems to have held on to the important bits like customer service and serving staff for breakfast etc.... it is a short and easy walk from the station, it took me about 15 mins.... The aesthetics are fabulous retro, love it but also the staff are friendly and attentive. The evening meal was good quality well presented and staff were professional..... The breakfast ladies were an absolute delight I felt looked after and really welcome..... overall it had the feel of somewhere more expensive than it was.... welcoming, friendly and professional.,.. very impressed.....Rooms: Clean.... tea coffee and biscuits! Old school attention allied to modern room.... probably the most powerful shower I have ever been in.....Walkability: About a 15 min walk from the station with a very slight gradient walking out of town.....

We hosted a work function at the Earl of Doncaster for 30 staff (Sept 14).The location is centrally located outside of the city centre, very close to the Hilton (if you need to book with your Hilton points), it’s literally a 10 minute walk.Parking Scale 1-10 - 7.5/8 - Parking is limited but most instances you are able to find a free spot along the front or backside of the building.Decor scale 7.5/8-The inside is very eclectic and unique, Bathroom selfie worthy 8.5Service scale 8.5 - staff was very attentive , drinks and food are on a scale of 8.5.Meeting room functionality - 10 - everything we needed the staff was able to accommodate us , even with the room changes.Xx

From arrival to leaving the staff were absolutely fantastic bar is lovely and function room was lovely bar is a bit expensive large wine and a John Smiths £14.45 what lets it down for me was the cleanliness of the bathroom at £130 per night the rooms should be spot onRooms: Paint flaking in the bathroom rusty towel holder dirty shower screen and fan cover was black with dust come on it doesn't take long to do these things

Our 3rd time dining here and I doubt we'll be back. This hotel has all the makings of an exceptional venue, but there's zero atmosphere or welcome. In fact, quite 'up' itself! Instant turn-off in terms of return business! Shame - we were so excited the 1st time that we thought we'd get married here... (we didn't as the hotel contact kept calling my fiancé "Robbie" despite us signing off our names). The venue looks the part but there's just something so 'off' about WHY it's not thriving?! I genuinely don't understand it! Shame.
