We came for lunch.\\nWe ordered from the menu that was on our table. Unfortunately it was an old menu with the old prices so was shocked when the total price came to much more than expected.\\nI got a prawn cocktail which had no presentation appeal at all.\\nIt came on a piece of lettuce and a dry slice of bread and no lemon.\\nFor £5 it was very disappointing.\\nI then ordered sirloin steak with pepper sauce. The sauce was so thin and tasteless that I wish I hadn't bothered.\\nOnce again the presentation didn't appeal.\\nWe spent a lot of money on this meal and to be honest we've got much better meals elsewhere for much less the cost.\\nWe don't mind spending good money on good food if it's worth it but unfortunately this wasn't.\\nTo the owner.\\nThe old menu with the old prices had been put on the table by mistake. This is the menu we looked at and ordered from so we thought we had been overcharged and was embarrassed at the bar when I confronted the lady at the bar.

Me and my gran were served by Charlie today at the Eden Arms, amazing service, very friendly and a lovely atmosphere! Food was delicious, i had the waffle and my gran got the prawn salad cant complain one bit! Thank you!

I recently visited the Eden Arms in Doncaster and was impressed by the pub's charming atmosphere and fantastic selection of food. The service was top-notch, and the staff were friendly and attentive. Plus, if you download their app you can get a free drink! I will definitely be returning in the future.

When we came here in April the kids meals were great. Plenty of food the kids were happy and full. Came back in December and the portion sizes on the Kids menu are so much smaller. My kids were still hungry and not happy. I don’t think I’ll be coming back again!

Love this pub with its welcoming fires, varied seating in numerous areas. Love the decor \\u0026 layout.\\nWe called in for lunch on a Friday, staff were very efficient \\u0026 polite, our food was served quickly \\u0026 was delicious. Will definitely return.

Staff were lovely but the food wasn't good. We had a cheesey garlic bread that had obviously been reheated as it was cold in areas. My husband had the French burger that was \\\"OK\\\" in his words. My buttermilk chicken burger was so over cooked the chicken had gone hard and gray. They didn't argue over refunding it but I'm afraid it put us off from returning. Shame because it's quite a pretty pub.

Service was really poor today on table 16 at 12:15.\\nOrdered two courses for two people and paid for two courses before receiving them as is the policy in the Eden Arms.\\nFirst main courses arrived in fairly good time and the food was really nice.\\nOur plates were cleared after a fairly considerable wait and the member of staff asked if we were ready for the desserts we had paid for. We said we were and after 20 minutes they had still not arrived and and we were short on time so just left having paid for desserts we did not receive.\\nSpoilt what could have been a nice lunch.

The food was nice although all they had available was turkey.\\n\\nIt took over a hour to receive our food which was disappointing as it wasn't very busy at all really maybe half capacity at best but more probable a third capacity.\\n\\nThe pigs in blankets all arrived scorched and burnt on all 4 servings.\\n\\nThe prices weren't great either considering the portion and quality of food etc.\\n\\nIf you want a quiet meal this place is great for that the interior is really nice and the atmosphere is one you would expect from a quiet venue however, if you are going for the food I'd suggest one of the local carverys.
So, it was a mixed bag evening, but overall left satisfied.\\n\\n6 of us with meals and drinks, however there was obviously something going on in the kitchen. 3 steaks ordered, 2 cooked perfectly.....but one was so overcooked it looked like a cheap grilled burger!\\n\\nOf the other dishes, ribs were fine, wings were great but the cow and chick burger - the chicken fillet was so overcooked it could be banged on the table and wouldn't cut with a steak knife!\\n\\nBoth of these issues were raised with the staff, who apologised, and after a short wait, provided freshly and properly cooked replacements which were very nice and the cost for those 2 dishes removed from the bill.\\n\\nThis is how all places should handle poorly cooked food - so we stayed around for more drinks and were happy to order desserts.\\n\\nOh, and the music bingo was very entertaining!

Friendly helpful staff, decent atmosphere, very clean and nice outdoor drinking area, just a shame it's next to a fairly busy road so quite a few cars constantly driving past. Used the O2 rewards priority here for the 2 freebie drinks with no issues ?????

Visited this pub today for lunch with a friend but the meals served were rather disappointing and inedible! Also an older couple had been waiting over an hour and a half for their meal and left with out eating as they had been forgotten about! Another customer sent their meal back as it was not cooked through! Was informed that the reason for the inadequate standard of service and food was due to them being very busy and only having one chef in the kitchen! Would it not have been better then to take less orders to give the chef more time to cook the required food to standard and also ensure more satisfied customers. This pub is usually a very nice place to eat but certainly was not up to expectations on this occasion!

I have given this a one star because apart from the young lad that served us the service is shocking, members of staff stood around too busy talking bar manager and manager included one of the members of staff even tried to stair me out not good conduct at all and the decor is desperate for a refresh.\\nWe won’t be visiting again it’s a shame we only live 2 minutes away.
