Lovely food and friendly staff. Was very busy though and some customers had no concept of spacial awareness and stood over me whilst I was eating. Not the pubs fault though and they were attentive and looked after us. Fab value for money and a good Sunday lunch.

A terrible experience. We took my 93 year old dad out for meal. We all ordered. My brother andy dads meal came after an hour. The fish and chips were over cooked. We them waited a further half hour for our food. By this time my dad had to go home due to waiting so long, so we sat and ate a meal which was below standard..I really think you need to look at the management and chief something's not right here!!!!

The hotel is a lovely accomodation to stay with everything in place that you need. Our room was quiet as well. It's best if you're out without (your) kids, it's ok for short stays with kids though. But rather a place which you'd choose without kids. The beds are really really comfy, staff is lovely and helpful. There's not too many people in the pub during the week, I think mainly workers who stay there for a couple of days. The area is alright, "Scunny" has a good choice of places to go shopping, a lovely indoor market, a cinema and I believe two theatres. It's only an hour from the sea and as well an hour to cities such as Leeds or York.We definitely recommend the hotel, good offers are in place too, especially for short stays.
