We attended my sons 50th birthday meal on the 27th December 2023 . Unfortunately things started off badly the service was very poor. Meals coming out one at a time after a very lengthy wait. And top top it the quality of food when we eventually got our order was sub standard . A very disappointing experience.

Had christmas dinner there as a family of 12 the service was excellent and the atmosphere was very relaxed no rushing. The dinner itself was very nice and just the right space between

Absolutely amazing place for an all round good night out. Food was gorgeous. Entertainment was fabulous and Luke and his staff are the best, so friendly yet professional too. I would highly recommend Reed's Restaurant. ????

Visited as a 5 generation family for afternoon tea, and although what we were served was very tasty I was a little disappointed to find the only savoury items were sandwiches (had to pay extra for 3 sausage rolls. But 4 different cakes. Perhaps you could have 1 less cakes choice, and have another savoury eg. Pork pie or scotch egg, or slice of quiche.

Visited reeds for the launch of new menu. Had the Prawn and crayfish cocktail and the Chicken supreme and a delicious cheeseboard for Dessert. The meals were from the new 3 course menu which had good food at a cracking price. Thanks and can't wait to return ?

Although what we had was lovely, we did pay extra for the deluxe afternoon tea experience, but had to ask for the glass of prosecco. Also noticed that we were given the selection of sandwiches that are on the normal afternoon tea, & not the deluxe selection.

My mum, sister and me went to Reeds Restaurant at the Best Western Hotel in Mexborough on Monday 27th March for the lunchtime menu. We had not pre-booked, but managed to get a table.Venue: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️The venue was very nice and a typical set up for an hotel.Food and drink: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️We opted for the 3 course set meal for the bargain price of £18 per person.Starters ordered:Prawn CocktailCeaser saladGarlic MushroomsMains: homemade pie and chips, with vegetables.Dessert: baked cheesecakeDrinks: Cappuccino, half pint lime and soda, half pint cokeThe food was served quickly and was freshly made and hot. The reason for the 4 stars is that we were told the pie of the day was steak, but 2 came as chicken. This was not a massive deal for me and my mum, but my sister really dislikes chicken pie. Luckily for her I was willing to swap the only steak pie (which I got) for her chicken one (yes, she knows I'm the best big sister in the world ?). We pointed this out to the waitress who offered to swap them, but we didn't want to wait, so we declined. The pies were lovely and had a good amount of filling, with very crisp pastry. The starters were also a very good size, and the cheesecake was delicious.Service: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️The service was quick and unobtrusive. The waitress was very apologetic about the mix-up with the pie, and the manager knocked 10% off the bill without us having to ask. We were very happy with this, as we were not too bothered about the pie mix-up, but they were. I found this a very good response and showed excellent customer service.Price: £55.71Overall it was very good, and we would definitely go back. We all thought it was good value for the money.

We went to Pastures across the Carpark from Reeds but it was very busy. We saw that Reeds Restaurant was open, which was unusual, so we decided we’d try it. We like a leisurely Sunday Lunch & it was perfect. 3 Course Sunday Lunch for £27 well worth it! The portions were large & the food excellent.Parking: The Car Park is very large. I don’t think it would fill up easily.
