Nice place, a little bit dark inside but very good service from the staff. I had a steak pie, which i felt lacked flavour and the meat was stuck to the pastry as well, due to lack of sauce inside the pie. The gravy that came with it was very tasty and i wished they had it inside the pie. I wasn't a fan of the chips but my girlfriend liked them. She also had the vegetarian skewer and she enjoyed that also.

The food here was 5 star and really reasonably priced with plenty of choice. What we had was perfectly cooked and full of flavour. The staff were all really friendly and helpful. There is a good sized car park if you are you going by car and easy to access location. It’s definitely worth giving here a try.

We were staying with friends in Dodworth in February and this was the pub we went to on our final night. I wish we had gone there every night! The menu, the staff, the food and the prices were all just great. Highly, highly recommended.

10 quid for small pop and a single archers and lemonade, thought I was in London. Lad on bar didn’t have a clue what prices were when I asked him, definitely drive straight past next

2nd visit in a few months but will definitely visit a lot more. Had burgers, pies and kebabs. All were delicious. Excellent service by a young man and lady. Very polite. And actually look like they enjoy their work and pleasing customers. We like that everything is just simple, good host, good service, good food. Oh nearly forgot the sweets are excellent too. Well done Lord Nelson. Merry Christmas

Booked a table for two for Sunday dinner, my husband had ribeye, I had scampi and our meal was a perfect way to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The service was great the drinks were reasonably priced as was our food. Highly recommend, we will return for more!

Very disappointed this time. Avid long time customer and not one to complain however, it just didn't meet the usual high standards. A group of 3 adults and we had - Sharing Nachos requested with no jalapenos but arrived with them. Not a major issue. I had the beef halloumi burger from the specials board. Was very dry, no salad was served with it either. Wife had the waffle burger. Again very dry and no salad served. 3rd person had hunters chicken sizzler, chicken was rubbery and the whole dish was way oilier than normal. When paying we raised these concerns to the young lady who just said "oh okay" Left £60+ lighter and very disappointed that the usual high standards were not met. Both the young lady and lad were working very hard and were polite throughout but seemed to lack experience and/or direction.

Very good pub grub. Nice hand cut chips. 2nd visit and the fish and chips, steak and kidney pie, scampi and fajitas were all delicious and perfectly cooked. The only negative was that the plates aren't very hot unless you have a sizzler but would still rate it excellent. Good value too.. Convenient location for meeting up en route as close to M1.

Loved the Hunters chicken, went here specifically for some and it didn't disappoint!

We hadn’t been in this pub for a number of years although we did used to be regulars many years ago. We just thought we’d try it and were not disappointed. Reasonably priced menu with lots of choices and served very quickly. Very friendly and efficient bar staff. I’m sure we’ll return before too long.
