Poor customer service experience: Booked tickets to see Iron Claw. Couldn't make it due to personal circumstances. Called up to exchange tickets to another showing about 2/3 hours before as I knew the refund policy wouldn't apply.Was driving at the time and had to give them an alternative showing time before confirming the swap. Pulled over, checked listings, called back to try and exchange my tickets. No answer on the phone after calling 6 or 7 times in a 20 minute period.I left a voicemail giving all relevant information and asking tickets to be exchanged. Again, all with plenty of time before the showing started, and during box office open hours just after i'd been speaking to them on the phone.No response. No acknowledgement.Called up the next day and the person I spoke to told me that the ticket exchange hadn't gone through and that I was probably too late. I explained that I called before the screening for my original tickets had started and that the box office was open, and that I left a message.He said they'd not checked their messages. I asked if he could action my request to select the new screening now. He said "no sorry nothing I can do because the screening has been and gone but if you come into the box office they may be able to sort something out."1) Disappointing that they didn't answer the phone nor action my message which was sent with plenty of time.2) Disappointing that they couldn't do anything for me despite the fact that I clearly didn't attend to pick up or use my tickets.3) Disappointing that I was told to come down and "maybe" something could be done if I made a bit more effort with my complaints. All I can foresee is going down there (1hr trip) to be told the same and effectively strong armed into buying a second pair of tickets... No thanks.In the end I booked a different cinema to watch the movie and had a great time and won't be in a hurry back to the Showroom.Such a shame because I'd love to support independent local businesses but when they make it so hard to do so it is just so frustrating. I held up my end of the bargain and it's a shame they didn't.

Great cinema. I was downstairs for a showing of One From The Heart. I was drinking Abbeydale 'Moonshine' which is brilliant for a cinema to have. Good set up. I'll check future listings and be back!

Visited the cafe. Had a English breakfast. If you like ultra processed sausage and bacon that’s one step away from becoming carbon then this is the place for you. If not then avoid at all cost! And I mean cost as it’s expensive for what you get.

Ordered a voucher over the phone and spoke the Max Marriott. Absolutely brilliant customer service - incredibly helpful and polite and a great credit to the cinema. He should be commended!
