Have been coming here for years and always had a good experience but am very disappointed today. We booked a table online last night for my birthday today. However my wife woke up this morning feeling unwell with awful morning sickness. She contacted the restaurant as soon as possible and left a voice mail to cancel and then rang again (got through before 15.30) and managed to explain the situation. However, they are insisting on charging a £44(!) cancellation fee. I understand having a charge for those who don't show up, but this is ridiculous. I won't be pre-booking a table here again and that likely means I won't be coming back which is a shame after 15+ visits over the years and supporting them with delivery during the lockdown.

Best Italian restaurant we have been to! Highly recommend! We went for my sons 18th, as a group of 15, and everyone loved the food! We will definitely be returning!

Visited Vito's Italian Restaurant tonight for family dinner. As always the food was exquisite, the wine selection was excellent and the atmosphere cosy. It's always our first choice when it comes to dining out. Staff....10/10, polite, professional and helpful. We cannot wait to go back.

Enjoyable excellent upscale Italian food in a smart stylish restaurant. Excellent ravioli, risotto, wild boar, stuffed chicken and tasty deserts. Delighted that this is a restaurant that has coat racks. Whilst still clearly the personal domain of Vito himself, this has very definitely kept up to date and embraced quality.

Lovely Italian food, cooked well and a good selection of choices. I found the wait staff very friendly and helpful. The room we were in was neat and tidy, but the decor wasn't great in my personal opinion. Also has a bizarre obsession with Peaky Blinders! But a really good Italian restaurant, best I've been to in Walkley and the surrounding area.

Best Italian food ever tasted accompanied by a bottle of the finest Italian red wine that I’ve not managed to find in Italy so far having travelled to the country regularly over the past 20 years! I’m just so happy that now I have found the real Italian cuisine at my doorstep!
Absolutely amazing meal. The food is always second to none and the service exemplary. Whenever the wild boar is on the specials it is always worth ordering!

Fantastic meal, the food was delicious and all freshly made. The portions were also large and great value. Service was spot on, really friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was very nice, clearly family run and very traditional.

What a shame the reviews were good but our experience was not good. All was ok except the food. The lamb skewers were overcooked and chewy. The fillet steak was half inch thick more like a cutlet.Should have complained but one of our party of 5 doesn’t like confrontation.Drinks and service were fine.Wheelchair accessibility: No access to toilets. Very steep stairs.

Consistently exceptional.This evening I had the strascinati con salsiccia, the fritto misto and the profiteroles scuro, with a glass of very nice house red. Every mouthful was superb. Best italian food I've had outside Italy. I'm so lucky to live nearby

Fantastic award winning restaurant in the Walkley suburb.Easy on-street parking. Welcoming and attentive staff. Great selection of traditional Italian dishes - probably not a good idea to ask for chips!We had the bruschetta appetizer followed by the aubergine bake and linguini mains. Finished with amazing tiramisu and good coffee.Highly recommended - will definitely visit again.Parking: Free on-street parking on side roads. Free on main road after 6.30 pm.
