Waitor and waitress are friendly. For the food, strawberry tea and sides(Bao) were really good but I don't quite like the main.

I went to my first Wagamama restaurant a few months back at Manchester airport - for breakfast. Huge mistake (see my previous review). I complained and was sent a £20 voucher. Which I have to say I was a bit indifferent to use. Alone in Sheffield however I decided to give them another try and spend my twenty quid - glad I did! A whole different experience. Welcomed in by a very friendly supervisor/manager who helped me through the menu - waited on by a real nice and very efficient guy called Toby. For a starter I had pulled duck in a wrap which very nice. Followed by the firecracker main - very spicy and amazing. Malbec was good too. I think I will be going again - but unlikely to be at the airport! Top marks to show the contrast in my experience and the company complaints procedure for teasing me back!

I enjoyed the overall experience and the food was nice. The cocktails were mainly ice and not good value for money. I would stick to a beer or something non alcoholic.

Wagamama has been something I've wanted to try for a while and finally took the opportunity to do so. The location is tucked away off to the side but it wasn't too hard to find. The interior gels really well with the style of dining. The staff were reasonably friendly but a bit annoying as we had numerous servers asking us questions a bit too frequently that we didn't have space to breathe. The food is reasonably priced with the Calamari being the highlight of the evening. It is the best Calamari I have had, no contest. I will come here just for it specifically. The mains (Katsu chicken and Chicken and Prawn Yakisoba) unfortunately did not deliver quite as much, being a bit more bland and Desert (Mochi) was alright but again, didn't deliver like the starter. The drinks that were had (Power, Cherry Blossom Lemonade and Power Panchi) were not that nice. The biggest issue of our evening however came from the bill where someone had paid for our table, seemingly by accident, which left the staff in a mess and us waiting for around 15 minutes for them to figure everything out. It would have been nice to have been compensated in some way or offered a drink for our time given we had made no error and technically could have left as our meal had been paid for. I doubt this happens often but nonetheless, it left a sour note.

When we arrived we were told there would be a wait and were given menus to look at outside in the entrance way. It was cold and so we closed the outside door. A server then came out reopened the door and reprimanded us in no uncertain terms in front of the other people waiting. If potential customers are spoken to like that we were not prepared to chance the table service. We went to a nearby restaurant where we were made to feel welcome and the service was great.

Absolutely delicious vegan Pad Thai, recommended by super friendly staff, such a lovely experience and such amazing value, I cannot wait to visit again. Very vegan friendly and lovely cosy atmosphere. ?

So disappointing! I have loved Waga's since I first discovered it in London round about 2006 and I always recommend it as a safe, dare I say, exciting, "chain" choice. They are great on dietary requirements and allergies and the staff are usually great fun and really invested in your enjoyment of your meal and your experience. I know from talking to staff in various locations that the company are heavily invested in staff development and customer delight, so whats wrong at Sheffield Leopold Square?Even though the restaurant wasn't busy, we were greeted with a bit of an attitude and sense of urgency, we were pretty much marched to a table and seated with some other diners; no choice here. Although we are very familiar with the usual Waga's experience, the host didn't bother to explain the ordering system or ask if we needed any assistance in ordering. A cursory comment about who our server would be was missed, but the host had already disappeared without introducing her. The server came and took our order and to her credit was very pleasant and hospitable, she took our order but failed to ask one simple question that we should have also picked up on, "Do you want everything serving together, or in order?" Again, to be fair to her, we got the impression that she was a brand spanking new member of the team.So the first thing to arrive were our excellent Ginger no-jito's, which I can thoroughly recommend; if they decide to bottle this and sell it as a side-line, Ill be ordering it by the case. Then came my Ramen main, then the crazily over salted, blood pressure inducing Edamame, then the dry rubbery stick things masquerading as Chilli Squid, then my guests curry, then cooked to a pulp Bang Bang Cauliflower. Across the dishes it has to be said that the meal was awful, with the Edamame, Squid and Cauliflower bordering on inedible, but at no point during the meal or when we were paying the bill did anyone ask if we had any issues of if we had enjoyed our meal!Sorry Wagamama's, but this was a huge fail and if it had been my first experience then I certainly would not be coming back, and as it is, I will now have to be very cautious about recommending the brand.A very poor experience in the eatery that I thought was a bomb proof recommend to friends and colleagues.

We were led to our table and the waitress was very friendly. We placed our order but we’re informed that 2 of our chosen orders and the beer my husband wanted weren’t available so that was disappointing. When the food arrived it was lovely however by this time our table had been ‘attended’ to by a waiter whose attitude at the very least was dismissive and bordered on rude. He hovered around the table as we were finishing as if he couldn’t wait for us to leave and another waitress started to clear the table before everyone had finished which a complete no no. We are regular visitors to Sheffield and safe to say there are far better places to eat on Leopold Square. We won’t return.

The staff was polite although we went late. Food came fast. Nothing special for the price paid.

We had a lovely server called Flo, she was very attentive. The atmosphere and food were both relaxed and lovely. 5* would come again.

I have eaten Wagamama for several years now but I've only just been into the venue at Leopold Square Sheffield. The staff are very friendly and deliver top quality customer service with a smile. The food is always great but, eating from the venue just hit differently as opposed to ordering online. The various smells in the air of cooked cuisine and the sound of people sharing good times together was really nice.I'd gladly go again in a heartbeat for some tasty food and overall a great atmosphere. If you're ever around the city centre and want something tasty, filling and good quality. Go to Wagamama. Treat yourself.

Super fresh ingredients, fabulous cocktails, and stellar service by Millie. The Thai chili margaritas, kojo bowls and desserts were such a welcome meal to our stopover in Sheffield.

Popped in for a quick lunch while on a business trip, ended up returning for dinner the next day as the hotel food was so horrible. Staff were friendly and helpful. Food, as always, amazing.
