Just had a lovely visit for an early mother's day treat. Excellent service, great cake and two whopping slices of toast!

Visited the cafe today with our cycling group and received the usual excellent service.Mostly though I want to thank again the customer who found my dropped phone on the lane and handed it into cafe. So grateful to all concerned customers & staff.

Lovely coffee but a service a little slow. (I believe they had been let down by a member of staff).Walkability: Easier walkable from Handsacre and/or Armitage.1 minute walk from the Trent & Mersey canal.

Always disappointed here by the restricted opening hours (closes 3pm on a Saturday and not allowed to sit inside at 2.30pm) and lack of availability of cakes in the past. Very hit and miss.

Disappointing Christmas craft session. No introduction or explanation of what we were meant to do.Venue lacked any Christmas spirit / atmosphereStaff didn’t speak to the children at all.Staff unaware of what was included, eg: drink.Staff hidden away in the back meaning we had to knock on the door to even get a tea.Played our own Christmas music to try to out some life into it.Real shame

Only used the training barn and cafe, both were brilliant. The cafe provided us with delicious food, excellent customer service and a friendly atmosphere. We were part of a large group and our orders were sorted accurately & efficiently, all good was piping hot and yummy, even though the staff were serving a large group they still took time to be friendly and helpful. The cakes were absolutely divine. Love this cafe and can't wait to go back, thank youFood & drinks: Divine and delicious food, great menu catering for many dietary requirements and allergies.Cakes were sooooo yummy ?

I'm a regular here for coffee after a walk. Popular with cyclists at the weekend as there is a good sized area bikes and buggies.Took my grandson to tots play today. He loved it. Perfect for small children as they can totter about.Nearby activities: Great walks and places to cycle.

Really disappointing visit today to what is normally a great little café. We stopped in for lunch and we're ignored completely as staff wandered around. Ordered a kids box, baguette and a wrap. It took FOREVER (40 minutes) to come out despite only having three small tables occupied. Kids jam sandwich was served on stale bread on a mountain of crisps, raisins not present. Baguette was ok but distinctly average but wrap was ok. I'd have given this one star had the coffee not been ok. I mentioned the stale sandwich to one of the staff who said she'd let the kitchen know, but no apology. We're local and normally pop in for a coffee and one of their fabulous cakes, but certainly won't be rushing back for lunch.

Nice quiet location for my team to stay while attending an event nearby. Rooms were clean and well equipped. There was a small problem with one room not being a twin, but that was quickly rectified by the owners and they offered another room in place.Cake on arrival was a really nice touch (and delicious!) and a takeaway continental breakfast was arranged as we were leaving early. All in a all a lovely place, will visit again when we next use Curborough sprint track.

Would NOT recommend.Attended today with family and my puppy, unfortunately the place was swarming with wasps indoors - dead ones all over the floor but also loads flying around! Which having a 9 month old puppy was very concerning. When we raised this to the staff, they didn’t seem concerned. Also, our breakfast was cold. Will not be returning

Went here for breakfast on Sunday. They don’t accept cash which is really annoying as it’s legal tender. Breakfast was awful. Sausages were cold, bacon was undercooked. No choice of how we wanted our eggs cooked. Could only have scrambled and when they arrived I could see why. Eggs were obviously brought in pre cooked. Air bubbles everywhere in eggs and tasted like rubber. After seeing such good reviews I was thoroughly disappointed. Long wait for breakfast even though the place was practically empty and both myself and hubby have had upset stomached ever since. Definitely won’t be returning
