Visited today with a friend and here's our experience- Service was ok. Would have been nice to be greeted with a smile or basic manners like hello how are you ?- No menus on the tables , our table was quite sticky and needed a good clean- Toilets were nicely decorated- Drinks did come out fast- Milkshakes were pretty tasty- The service wasn't the best in terms of customer experience.- Not enough napkins given , had to ask for the cutlery. For a well decorated place the sauces were cheap and didn't taste very good- Hunters chicken was ok but not enough sauce and the chips and onion rings were dry- Place was very cramped and the people next to us were too close- AC was on when our food got served , making our food cold and us cold.- Kids meal proportions were pretty decent- Price wasn't all that badIn summary the place looks nice and the decor however the lack of customer service and the basic food wasn't the best in terms of a lovely dining experience. We wouldnt come again but we wish them well.

Normally a great place to dine however we had the worst afternoon tea experience.Sandwiches were basic, we weren’t once asked if we were okay or needed a top up of tea. We had to ask the staff for basic stuff like spoons for the tea, cutlery and napkins. My mom’s coffee we had to ask for twice which took 40mins & yet no service with a smile. There was 4 of us in total and I wouldn't say that there was enough given we were expected to spend £30 per head. I asked for additional sandwiches and they were served poorly.

Absolutely disgrace. Service was bad. Felt very neglected. No Cutlery, no napkins, no service with a smile, sandwiches with no butter, no prosecco, coffee was late. Rude manager and rude staff. They do not know 5* customer service. Instead of answering back, just find a solution. Will not recommend. And will spread how bad this place is.

Dropped in for a breakfast and it was great. Lovely food and the staff so friendly. It was mega busy but they still had time to talk and the service was impeccable.

Lovely place but disappointed with afternoon tea.The sandwiches they served were cheese & pickle, ham & tomato, tuna & lettuce never been served such basic sandwiches before on an afternoon tea and parts of crusts where bread hadn't been trimmed properly. The cakes were scones which were lovely,a small square of chocolate brownie a very small fairy cake and a small meringue with a couple of blue berries on.We were given a pot of tea and coffee but in the 2 hours we were there not once did anyone ask if everything was ok or if we needed the pots topping up which we would have appreciated. All in all it was a lot of money we paid £200 between 10 of us for about £30 worth of food so very dissapointed.

I couldn't be bothered to cook my own lunch today, so I thought I would give Cafe Roux a try - this is probably one of the best decisions I have made all year. The jerk chicken, rice and peas with steamed veg was absolutely delicious - I also tasted some of my friend's Roux Signature burger, and that was tasty too. Nice choice of dessert treats for that brilliant sweet taste before departure - I would definitely recommend.Never mind the food - pleasant, quirky decor, very friendly staff, nice music, and an overall wonderful atmosphere. I may never cook lunch again!

First cafe I’ve ever been to that doesn’t actually serve coffee, doesn’t matter if it’s Sunday that’s not an excuse - the clue is in the name ‘cafe’, which is French for ‘coffee’ believe it or not, and if it doesn’t serve proper coffee from a barista machine it’s not a cafe.
