Still waiting his reply.Decided to come again yesterday .What a surprise . Back to normal if not better . Great food nice and hot and plenty of it.You have certainly redeemed yourselfs . Jill was in good form and the staff had friendly faces which was nice. Again well done to you all .Have re booked so see you all soon < Roger and friends

Had the pleasure of having a booking here last Saturday 10/03/24 food was outstanding. We were a party of four, our table was booked just as they opened so the restaurant was relatively quiet, not one of us had any issues with our meals or desserts! Beef Wellington was perfect! All the staff was friendly and welcoming. Will definitely be back again after brother in-law recommend ?? definitely worth a visit

Very good first visit for us both, all the reviews I read made the decision for me. Attentive staff, generous portions even for "small plate" items, very well priced. Nice simple clean decor and spotless toilets. Free car park next door. Would revisit. Sunday lunch

This was our first visit for Sunday lunch. The whole experience was first class. Staff were very helpful and the food was of a good quality. The menu on offer was suited to lunch time eating, to with a good selection of vegetarian food. We will certainly visit again.

We was both looking forward to lunch at the bay tree, we had our starter within 15 minutes, we had to wait 45 minutes for our main meal, when it came it was warm, 2 slices of small beef and was very fatty all the way through, we had 2 very small and well-done roast potatoes, not a lot of vegetables and they were cold, gravy was lumpy. When the waiter came and asked how the meal was I explained that the meat was very fatty and he just smirked and walked off with the plates. There was also a table who complaind to our right and it was discussed very loudly by the waiters at the bar, so we could hear everything. Very disappointed, will not go again.

Went for a Sunday lunch with a party of 11, including 2 young children. The service was impeccable. The courses (arranged in advance) came together and equally hot. The food was exceptional and thoroughly enjoyed by everyone.I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone, small or large groups.

It’s our first time at the Bay Tree, and it won’t be our last. Sometimes it’s dodgy dining out for Valentines evening but we couldn’t have had a nicer evening. The food was truly exceptional, the service cheerful and speedy, and our table in a cosy corner upstairs was perfect. I had pigeon salad to start, my husband chose the pate, followed by monkfish and chicken - both flavoursome and fresh. We finished with peach tarte Tatin and Bailey crème brûlée, a perfect end to a delicious meal. Our wine choice was tasty too, and not too expensive. No photos, the food was far too appealing to get my phone out! Well worth a return visit.
