We’ve been here today for the first time as an alternative to Whites Coffee Bar.The room is beautiful and surroundings are absolutely lovely.Service was quick and efficient and the staff were welcoming and polite.Unfortunately; the food and drink weren’t great and we hadn’t realised until we arrived that they don’t serve breakfasts.I had a latte and a slice of lemon cheese cake. The coffee…. I’m not even sure it was coffee, was awful. I had seen some of the photos of the coffees on FB, but mine looked nothing like this and came with a brown thick skin stuck to the top and didn’t seem to have been frothed. It had a burnt and nutty taste to it (I couldn’t drink it and we drove to Starbucks in Stafford afterwards). Unfortunately; the lemon cheese cake looked amazing, but tasted sour and didn’t taste of lemon. My wife had a hot sausage roll that I think had been pre-heated and was really dry.It was such a shame as we were looking for somewhere else to go for breakfast and morning coffee. Please take this feedback as constructive. This is a lovely place but we felt that the food and drink did not represent the high quality of the setting which was disappointing.

We visited Mary’s tearoom for a cobwebs staff treat and wow what a place. We loved the all year round Christmas tree, the quirky style and chilled atmosphere. We enjoyed the delicious baguettes and cakes. We can’t wait to visit

What a lovely tea room Mary's is in Bishton Hall courtyard. Myself & my partner go most resllweekends. The staff are all really lovely, & friendly, & welcoming. The food is delicious, & the homemade cakes are to die for. Myself & I would really recommend a visit, if you are in the area. The young brother & sister who run it, have really turned, this lovely cafe around. Well done, to you both, & your staff. xx ??

Lovely place. Really like the outside furniture made from simple pallets ??. You were busy, but service was very slow and waiting in a queue for over 20 minutes isn’t great.Lovely food and coffee though. Friendly staff, they tried their best to apologise and put things right. It’s fine when it’s not busy. I will return

Absolutely beautiful! What a find. It’s the best local tea room / coffee shop by a mile. We had excellent coffee and cakes in a beautifully styled room with very friendly staff. It’s such an idyllic setting, there’s a load of crafty shops here all set in lovely gardens. My new favourite local place to stop and hang out. I had a blonde Rocky Road which kind of blew my mind!

As the weather was beautiful it is the perfect weather to sit outside and enjoy the sun, Mary’s is a completely unique tearoom with the most amazing selection of teas and cakes. A personal favourite is the Hummus, red pepper and sweet chilli panini. A must visit!Wheelchair accessibility: Easy access all one level, no steps to access tearoom or seating.

We love Bishton Hall and enjoy visiting regularly. All of the businesses there are a real asset to the Courtyard including their wonderful tearoom who sell delicious cakes, snacks and drinks

Very expensive place to go, staff weren’t very friendly, food was very limited and the toilets were disgusting! I can’t believe that they are allowing them toilets to be used in the state they are in! The gardens are run down and weeds everywhere they are not looking after the house at all, the grass is dead from where tents have been put up I presume as they are still on the grass but down so killing another part of the grass totally wasted on Hanson’s. I have also heard rumours that the only way it’s staying open is through some very dodgy dealing!! This place should not be allowed open if that is the case. Will 100% not be returning again.Wheelchair accessibility: There is none.

What great little place to stop for refreshments. Set on the Bishton Hall estate, in the courtyard surrounded by craft and art shops. Huge list of tea's to choose from, delicious cakes and pastries, smooth tasty coffee, served hot. Service is excellent, efficient and friendly.

First time of visiting, absolutely ? a hidden gem ? fairly priced, staff are lovely and allow you to take tme in your order no rushing, welcoming, fresh & clean. The decor is open & cosy with a countryside feel, miss match chairs but comfortable, the interior, plates and cutlery are miss matched but it gives the cafe even more character. The till/food is easily accessible. Also not far from rugeley town.Prices could be set out better and explained extra costs.

Fantastic place for vegans to go. A good array of cakes. I had a millionaire slice. Good enough for non -vegans, too. And the selection of drinks - teas, coffee's and other soft drinks are excellent.\\n\\nI also had the soup of the day with fresh bread. Delicious.\\n\\nLovely place. Nice setting. Excellent staff.\\n\\nIt's definitely a place to take visitors being on the site of Bishton Hall, in a courtyard with other small businesses worth paying a visit too.\\n\\nI went there for business networking. So super for 1:1s, as well.

What a great Place! the decor is fantastic, nothing is to much trouble even when you ask for Chilli Jam on your bacon and brie toasted Bap! do not get me started on the delicious cake choices, personal favourite of mine is the warmed Cinnamon bun with Biscof sauce generously drizzled over the top.... very naughty but very very nice ! great team great place !

We've now been here twice. The first time we were served by a young lady who was friendly and efficient. The second visit (on 22nd Feb) was let down by poor service. After placing our order for tea and hot chocolate and a couple of cakes, we sat down and waited. The cakes arrived quickly, but no drinks. We waited and waited, but nothing. After about 10 minutes I think the ladies behind the counter must have heard our conversation about the missing drinks or noticed that we kept looking round in their direction and there was a sudden flurry of activity and our drinks appeared 2 minutes later (they had obviously totally forgotten about our drinks). They gave the drinks to another lady who was serving who brought them over with a terse, inadequate apology. We then noticed that they had only given us one paper napkin, so I had to go up to the counter to ask for another. In addition, customers going out kept leaving the door open letting an icy wind blow in. So I had to get up on two occasions to shut the door. I know that was not their fault, but the ladies in charge should have been proactive and done it themselves. Or they need to fix the door so that it closes properly (it had an auto closing mechanism). Possibly they need to move the mat - there was a mat on the floor that the door may have been sticking on.\\nIn summary, I'd say that this is possibly a good place to go for tea/coffee and cake, but let down by poor service depending on who is serving when you go there. To be fair, I'll probably give them another try some time, but I won't be rushing back.
