Went to Bar Social last night for a Comedy Night showcasing new talent/new material - great atmosphere, well organised and overall a fun nightReserved seats via Facebook and the member of staff that greeted us was charmingWe ordered food - beef burger and chicken burger from their 2-4-1 menuDespite the wait (it was a busy night) the food was well presented, hot and tasted greatReally enjoyable night and fantastic atmosphere

Having had a great time here pre pandemic and tied in with a cinema treat, we decided to do the same again. We walked into the venue from a very cold and draughty concourse. We found a table as far away from the door as possible to stay out of the cold. However, the whole venue was freezing cold. I’m not nesh but there was no way that I could have eaten there without wearing my winter coat. My Wife was freezing, so we left disappointed.

I was supposed to do a trial shift here and basically what happened was that the whole entire time they had a complete fiasco of a baby shower, I walked in and took a seat and the first thing they talked about was trans people and about previous transgender staff, the manager was nice and calm about the situation which was lovely, however, neither the bartenders were. When I did my trial shift, halfway through I was doing random lobbying jobs that did not really have any clarity to what we were doing there, for example, rubbing off a blackboard with chalk on it. One of the staff members was very racist and started talking about Mexican people, and also, the two boys on the till were being silly, while a poor girl was sat on the inside of a hut by herself cooking food for everybody. It just felt like a very awkward situation, I have certain mental health conditions that are diagnosed and it really made me feel hostile all the time being in the workplace all of the time. Then I got an email shortly saying I didn't get the job and that I would get paid for the hours I worked. Sadly, this never happened. It is not the money that is the problem, it is the fact that many students need work experience for things like apprenticeships and further employment. I also felt like a mouse, I went in three times asking for a trial shift during the school starting month, hoping that this could be my first job, honestly anything that I did wrong would be really appreciated. - Ruby

We went in to have a burger before we went to the cinema. When we order she said it will be about 15 minutes we ended up waiting 40 minutes for 2 burgers and 2 sides. I saw our food was ready there was two bar staff on and one person at the bar in the end I went a pick my own food up. When we started eating the food was cold . Very disappointed wot be going again.

Feel genuinely sorry for all the staff working here - the manager (white hoodie) is the rudest and most incompetent member of staff I've ever come across. Speaks to his staff terribly in front of customers, tells them to make us food even without a chef on shift (despite them telling us that they don't have a chef) and then says he is too busy to hear our inevitable complaints at waiting for 2hours to receive food

Stunned by drinks and service. Literally just left. Bought two cherry bakewell cocktails and they were created in about twenty seconds. They looked awful and tasted disgusting. So I took them to the bar. Said they were undrinkable and I didn't even get a sorry. I just a ‘oh ok. No worries. Totally unprofessional and for a bar that is already struggling. Probably a good idea to not treat customers like that. Went to the cappello lounge and received a proper cocktail. We Would never visit bar social again.

Manager (wearing a white hoodie) was extremely rude to his own staff, felt really sorry for a specific member of staff behind the bar who was on the receiving end of this. Not okay to treat your own staff this way at all, put us off ordering from here.

I am leaving another review. As sadly I can't get anyone on the phone as the number is dead. To be clear. I ordered at the bar and on the menu it said could you please give your table number. So I said to the waitress as I ordered my drink..we are table 13. She snapped back at me with attitude about how she was the only one in there and couldnt give table service. I replied I wasn't asking for table service. It just said on the menu to say which table we were on. I then waited for my drinks and most definitely said please and thank you. But I was snapped and she was argumentative in her tone. As for the cherry bakewell. We both love that cocktail. But I was served something that was tastless it tasted more like a weak cordial with soda. I didn't expect any kind of show or cocktail experience. I know where I was drinking and what I was drinking. . But I refuse to believe you can make a proper CB cocktail in 20 seconds It was awful. Also if I was so rude!? I would have surely kicked up a fuss. The service from my arrival was snappy the drink was the worst I have been served in a bar in year's. Plus if the staff didn't have attitude they should have still said sorry. Not saying no worries.The experience was.just the worst and although the cherry bakewell cocktails we had were nearly £8 more in the capella lounge at least the staff were friendly and the drink as as it should be.I suppose I shouldn't be shocked that you take the staff side and it's just easier to say I was rude.I was 100 percent snapped at and still said please and thank you. But the service and drink was so shocking I didn't complain. We just left. So that says something about the atmosphere your staff create in your absence and the quality of the drinks.I would suggest you ask the girl who made our drinks to make you one and then go and have one down the road and tell me I am wrong.But ultimately your reply and trying to belittle me by suggesting I might not know what a cherry bakewell might taste like and I was rude is not actually a surprise.It must of course be me and not your staff.But never mind.We always come in for drinks before the cinema and sometimes after. Normally however I am with the children so we don't drink cocktails or your version of. But we won’t anymore and judging by how empty the place was we can't be the only ones enjoying high level of customer service.

First time visit to this venue and it was absolutely freezing - kept my coat on the whole time I was in there even when eating . Main meals for myself and my boyfriend were Luke warm and disappointing - no onion rings - no garlic mushrooms - steak had to be sent back as it was cold - then a pud had to be returned as it was also cold Too expensive for the poor quality and standard of food - the only plus point was the young lady who waited on us - smiley - friendly and very apologetic - WILL NOT BE RETURNING

We booked a table for a bottomless supper for10 for a Christmas night out. On arrival no staff to help us out. Only lady was really busy behind the bar. Was then told our supper had been cancelled earlier in the day. Not by us may I add. The chef showed us to a table that was filthy and proceeds to bring a buffet out which had been made for the 2pm customers that had cancelled. Ours was booked for 7.30 pm.A member of our party had emailed the week before to ask for dairy free items but they hadn't received our email.The chef was really upset at our treatment. We couldn't even get a menu for cocktails. We left and sent an email regarding our deposit and surprise.. no reply.Absolutely shocking

Out with friends and decided to try the bottomless deli, we weren't disappointed, great values for money, £25 for 90 minutes of unlimited wine (large list to chose from) or Lager plus a large platter of cheese (4 different kinds), pate, bread, crackers pickles and more, bigger portions than I was expecting, would definitely do it again and have would recommend to others. Staff were great too
