Excellent food and staff listened to my questions and concerns. They accommodated my preferences, too. We'll be back!Dietary restrictions: They answered questions related to my allergies and I had no problems.

I love flames. I have been going there for years and they really know how to care for their customers. They are all so kind and the food is always really lovely. Honestly the food is made with love and the people are what really make flames?

Great food! Never lets you down. Fabulous selection of dishes, my family and I have made our way through the menus over time. I live in Penkridge and flames is my favourite restaurant to go for a get together with the family

First time at this restaurant so I guess my wife and I were comparing it to our usual favourites from where we moved. They were very friendly and didn't burden us with constantly asking whether our food was ok.Downside: no alcohol licence but we could have brought our own if we'd known about it as a glass of wine always does the trick for us with a good curry meal. We'll certainly be back to try other dishes on their vast menu.Parking: Parking on the street which was ok for us due to the early time we had for dinner, later on maybe a rather packed out road.

Great food, large portions should have shared really. Cash only which I didn't see before going in so had to walk to the coop round the corner but not a problem. Great service, quick food and amazing taste

food is good especially the masala pasty where you can not find anywhere else. Portion sizes are not great though on some dishes. Lovely building.

We have dined in on a few occasions and had take away also. Food always been good until tonight, we ordered the lamb Rogan Josh and lamb Clay pot. Both were swimming in oil and tiny pieces of lamb. Again had to pay cash as on many occasions, the excuse was the card machine isn't working.

No stars if I could.Service was shoddy, the waiter thought it was appropriate to take the mick because I mispronounced an item of food.Food was mediocre and lacked flavour. No card machine when we went to pay the bill. We weren’t informed when we went in that payment could only be cash or bank transfer. Very sly and underhand so I’m happy to say never again will we eat there.

Second visit, and it was quiet when I arrived, so was shown to my table quickly. I was the first of the group to arrive, and was offered a glass for my drink immediately, the restaurant doesn't have a license. Food order was done quickly, with good humour; the staff there were friendly and helpful. The four of us had a poppadom each, a starter and a main, three naan and rice. The starters were good, my tandoori lamb chops were tasty and not too filling. Everyone else enjoyed their starters too. Mains arrived, and there was a problem: my friend's lamb jaipuri was chicken, which they changed quickly. (In less than 5 mins, which I thought was remarkable) Naan breads were good. I had the North Indian chilli chicken, which was supposed to be hot, but didn't seem it. I don't like my curry to be too hot, so it was fine, but others may be disappointed. The bill came to £99, and some members of the group asked to pay by card. They were told that the card machine wasn't working, and it either had to be cash or a bank transfer. This meant a little card had to be handed round with the bank details on. I visited Flames in March and was told the same thing about the card machine, so it's worth knowing. Overall, a lovely atmosphere, good food but a few little niggles that you remember when you leave.

Stopped off on the way home from Manchester airport, Monday evening so we expected it to be quiet. Staff were friendly & courteous & food was good value for money & quick service ?
