Went for a birthday party( about 25 and to be fair almost everyone else said food was good) and 3 of us had “slow roasted” barbecue beef brisket, it was awful, was like it had been quickly pan fried 2 mins before being served. This led it to being extremely tough to the point all 3 of us could not finish meals and did not taste nice at all.

With only one other table in use it was a very quiet evening in the pub. The food was very good and the service exceptional. A few more party goers would have been good, but it was the 27th, so most people having a rest after Christmas. Very

Went here today for my birthday. Never been before. Was fantastic. Great Sunday lunch, very accommodating to the family's varied dietary requirements. Waiter and waitress who served us were excellent, friendly & efficient!! Will be going back... Thanks guys, Ian.

Always pop in here for food when we are staying the weekend at the chase caravan site. This occasion walked there and had lunch. Food always good. Reasonably priced and the dog always welcome.

Excellent Sunday roast, although this trip was not as good as previously, but still a very good choice.

I have never been before but my parents often come and talk about how lovely it is. Today we went for Sunday Roast and WOW it didn’t disappoint!!! When we arrived we were greeted straight away and made to feel very welcome. We ordered drinks at the bar and were shown to our table. I had the creamy mushroom starter which tasted amazing- it was a large portion so I could have shared but this isn’t a criticism. I then had the beef roast which came with lovely, creamy mash (it was probably the best mash I’ve ever had!), Yorkshire pudding, pigs in blankets, roast potatoes and stuffing. We had a range of vegetables to put on our plates too including cauliflower cheese, parsnips, cabbage etc. I was full and couldn’t order a dessert but my Dad ordered the Mars cheesecake which smelt incredible when it came out. It even had a melted mars bar sauce!! The service was exceptional- every member of staff which spoke to us was cheerful and happy. Nothing was too much to ask! We will definitely be returning- thank you!
