Met a friend in the village for lunch and decided on the crown. Had a look at the menu and there was lots to choose from. Barmaid/ waitress was lovely very helpful. Food was absolutely great and we even managed a pudding.I'd definitely come back for an evening meal. What a great find.

Nice clean pub, I just stopped for a quick cup of coffee to warm me up on a bike ride and very nice it was too.

The best Sunday roast! I went once to see what all the hype was about and I was not disappointed. We’ve been back so many times since. Always end up with the three courses which is exceptionally well priced too. I’ve been craving the tomato soup. The beef is beautiful- my partner has had all three meets but I’m sticking to the beef. The Yorkshire puds are huge and so tasty. I honestly can’t fault it.Parking: Parking around the back.

Didn't eat as no food served on Sunday evening . Lovely service though from young tall lad . He went out of his way to help !

Excellent meal, good value, staff were attentive. Sunday Lunch was top notch! Need to get a coffee machine or improve on what they serve, coffee was so strong, very little milk offered and disappointing. We will go back, hopefully they have a coffee machine by then!

Came here for Sunday Lunch. Good food, attentive staff, food served quickly.Parking: If you have friends with mobility issues in your group drop them at the door first. As the cat park is a short walk from The Crown.

We went to the Crown for a hearty evening meal after exploring a local national trust property on a slightly wet afternoon... It was fairly quiet in the restaurant on a week night, although the bar was busy with the locals after football practice! The welcome was warm and the food delicious, well presented and well priced. The service was attentive, informal and not over-bearing! I can recommend the Beef and Mushroom Stroganoff and the Lamb in Mint Gravy (which we tried).

Stayed in this lovely little village on a work trip and this great little pub was next door to the B&B. Very quick service and good food and drinks. Reasonable prices as well ? the stilton sauce with the steak was rich and ?

Excellent food. Due to a misunderstanding we did not have a booking. The manager fitted us in a bit later and the food was very good, hot and freshly cooked. Clearly a popular place and well patronised. I would definitely recommend . A large car park at the back but it was very full and looked like it was being used as a space for car sales which was a bit disconcerting. I didnt want to come out and found my vehicle sold!
