Such a beautiful place. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Emily was a gem! She went above and beyond to make our birthday dinner a lovely experience. Ronnie and Miranda were excellent as well! We had an amazing time!

The food is full of flavour, the service is friendly and attentive, prices are reasonable. Had dinner with my daughter, and had a memorable time. will definitely will be coming back.

I did not stay in the hotel but I visited family staying there for a meal. The food was very expensive, poor quality and cold. The setting was pleasant as were the staff. I had the burger that was wafer thin and for the price would have expected much better.

Ate dinner at Scholars whilst staying at the Courtyard for 1 night. Restaurant was big, quite busy as there was a coach party (eating a buffet), but there was a menu for the other guests.A wide selection of choices, I went with the mushroom tagliatelle, pretty good mushrooms a little watery.Only downside was the table I was shown to seemed more appropriate for a drink and a chat rather than eating as the chairs were far too low to eat comfortably.Pricing was as expected for a hotel.

I arrived on Sunday for a breakfast, and was warmly welcomed by a waitress. The buffet brekfast I selected consisted of eggs, toast and bacon; fried bread was not available. The food was OK, but the toast was of the thinnest, basic quality sliced bread. The glasses from which you could drink orange juice were tiny; much smaller than the standard UK school meals glasses, so it was necessary to refill several times to receive an adequate amount. Other jiuices were available in very small cartons. Overall, adequate, but very expensive for what it was. Perhaps another meal may offfer better value.
