My husband myself and daughter had pleasure in visiting this inn on Saturday for a meal must say it was delicious plentiful and the best we have had for miles around. The service was good we were asked on two or three occasions if things were OK they were very attentive to detail We will certainly visit again.

A Team night out for 16 of us. Fantastic food and service. We went to The 3 Crowns as I use it personally and thought it would make for a great staff night out. Can’t recommend it enough. Excellent all round. Thank you so much.

Had beef rib off the menu....the flavour was very poor. The staff apologised....but nothing in the way of an apology from the management.

Two people had roast, 7pm ordered. Obviously past its best, veg cold and over cooked and tasteless, beef not the best, roasties burnt to bullet. No stuffing. Desert custard cold. Not a good experience, but staff as always brilliant, could not do enough.

Sunday 6th June 6pm we had a table for 5 booked.Food was very disappointing fish and chips was ordered 3 times fish was very small.I had the chicken pie with vegetables and spring onion mash, the puff pastry lid was under cooked and the vegetables were over cooked and were unedableThe mash was very dry.All in all a very disappointing evening.Poor quality of food and over priced.Being a chef myself I know what a good dinning experience should be.1 out of 10.Will not be returning to eat.

We popped in on the off chance of a table whilst passing by. Staff were all helpful and friendly. Nice atmosphere and the food was yummy. Hot, tasty and good portion sizes. We will be back and will recommend.

Food was delicious as always, love that we can top up the gravy, and service was good, though one waitress didn't know what a dessert consisted of and didn't offer to find out. Could improve the cutlery as knives weren't very sharp, we'd noticed this on a previous visit, so cutting through a slightly tough slice of pork belly ( triple roast) and al dente veg was difficult. Crackling was more like pork scratching with no flavour. Would love to see proper crackling with crispy skin and a layer of crispy, juicy fat which gives it the flavour and lovely texture.

A lovely meal served by the waitress Frankie, who was friendly and polite. However, upon arrival we were allocated only 90 minutes for have a three course meal (we had booked the table) so felt it was a little rushed before we had even sat down. Based on this first impressions poor, but Frankie more than made up for it!

We recently visited for a Sunday lunch. The Three Crowns is usually our go to place but disappointing this time. The portions seemed smaller and although the turkey roast states on the menu both online and on the table that it comes with stuffing.....it does not. We queried the fact there was no stuffing to be told the menu had changed and the stuffing was replaced with a small sausage. Well update your menus then!! We were offered the dessert menu for which we were going to order....but by the time someone came back to take our order I'd gone off the idea and asked for the bill. I didn't think the food was very warm either. Unfortunately we'll be trying somewhere else next time which is a shame as it really is one of our favourite places. Will try again probably in a few months time

Went as three couples for an evening meal. Food was excellent and there were no complaints from anyone. Staff were all very pleasant and attentive. Food and drink were not overly priced. Would certainly go there again.

We had breakfast here today… eggs Benedict, and a full English, and both were delicious. We will definitely be back! Edited: it use to be great when the bottom part of the decking was no smoking, but now the signs have been removed I am sitting here being choked. Not great for families here anymore

All the staff were very polite. We were shown to our table (in the main body of the restaurant) by Lind, who made us feel very welcome. We were both very pleased with our menu choices. After sharing garlic flatbread, my husband ordered the gammon steak which was cooked to perfection. I chose the vegetable Penang curry which was beyond delicious! Great care had been taken with the presentation of both meals. Our servers, Lind + Ruth, were so professional with excellent manners. This was our first visit for many years but we will now be returning very soon.

Terrible food, not as advertised, tiny portions and overcooked, overpriced, very long wait. Staff not aware of menu and one was rude when challenged. Will not be back!
