Eat here several times a month and never had a poor meal. Comprehensive menu. Excellent service. Great priced wine and beer. Owner and staff always most welcoming. Best in Tamworth.

The most wonderful restaurant, great food, best service I’ve ever known! They dealt very well with a miserable woman on an adjacent table, absolutely wonderful restaurant!

I have used the Jalali for a number of years. After numerous forgiving visits when the boss has added on additional costs for drinks that we didn’t drink, for over inflating prices, to adding numerous stuff on to the bill. Enough is enough.Went with a group of 15 yesterday, chicken raw, 7 month out of date Cobra and still continued to try and overcharge. Steer clear, this place needs shutting down once and for all.******RESPONSE FROM OWNER AND TRUE RESPONSES BELOW.*******Dear Danny,I am extremely sorry for the unpleasant experience you've had with us on the Monday. We put our hands up with the out of date Bottled cobra... we go through that many of them someone somehow didn't notice that one odd bottle that was lingering around the fridge. It was a human error on our behalf and we are extremely sorry you happened to get that bottle. I'm sure my colleague showed you the rest of the bottles that were in the fridge all addressed best before 2025.RESPONSE…..**The bottle in question was 7 months out of date, you attempted to charge me for the bottle and after a lot of back and forth, you agreed to take it off the bill. For clarity, your colleague didn’t show me anything in the fridge, please don’t lie because it’s embarrassing for you to do so**As for the raw chicken, you all ordered 6 Tandoori Mixed kebabs, 5 of those 6 were fine, your colleagues/friends claimed they enjoyed it. Unfortunately, in yours you claimdd one of the 2 pieces of chicken was raw, which we changed for you and didn't charge for. I completely agree that this is unacceptable and we have stepped up to take major precautions.RESPONSE….***I did not claim the chicken was raw, you seen it for your own eyes. Your staff also lied to Mohammed that you’d apologised and offered to change it. You were told a replacement was not necessary as my friend felt put off by the food, yet you continued to replace and attempt to put on this bill. Again, how embarrassing.***As for the rest of your comments, if you were to run a business then you'd understand our prices aren't over inflated. If anything because of the nature of the economy post covid/brexit/recession, we think we're reasonably priced. Customers may scour menus accross Indian restaurants in the region to vouch for that. You weren't charged for drinks you didn't order, So this bold claim you’re making is frankly outrageous. There was no extra numerous items added on to the bill. On average you spent less than 30quid a head. For a place like ours that's a standard price to pay for drinks and a 3 course meal.RESONSE….***As for your prices, they are massively overinflated. I’d argue one of the most expensive in Tamworth, if not the most. Only last year you snuck £1 on each dish for convenience and gradually replaced your menus in the restaurant with you new ones. I didn’t say on this occasion we were charged for drinks we didn’t order. There is a very good reason I requested drinks to be kept separate and that’s because you just cannot be trusted. Believe me when I say it is a common theme in the town that you add stuff on the bill. It wasn’t so long ago I caught Mohammed over charging my elderly father when we collected a takeaway, do you recall when I told him he was a disgrace???Nonetheless, stay safe. Good luck to you on your other dining in ventures.Summarising, don’t try and play the innocent, you shouldn’t still be trading. You’re a disgrace.

I don't like giving bad reviews and don't do it very often. We ended up waiting 1.5 hrs for our food. The starter was lovely but ended up leaving as there was such a long wait. We still got charged full price for what we'd had which I don't think we should have had to pay while the service was so bad...

Went there for an evening meal with my partner and my daughter and was not disappointed. They have really good vegan options which is great as my daughter is a vegan. The portions are a good size, would recommend the chicken Jalfrezi which was perfect, just the right level of spice and lots of chicken. My partner said the chicken Korma was one of the best she's ever had. My daughter was impressed with the vegan food. The service and atmosphere were excellent, would definitely go again.

Really lovely looking restaurant. Decor really adds to the whole experience. The waterfall in the middle really makes you feel like you're in a super swanky place. We were seen too quickly and taken to our table. We had an 830 booking on a Friday night. It wasnt full but it was busy. There were many members of staff rushing about. Our food arrived an hour after being seated but this would take into consideration the time it took for us to look at the menu, order and then eat.Drinks came quickly and we were always checked on.Staff varied...one chap thought himself a comedian, he had all the jokes and we were fine with that. Another was super professional and attentive with a smile and another...seemed like he had served 1 too many samosas in his lifetime and was a bit more subdued and done. They apologised for the wait on food as they had a very large table order before us. We were fine but appriciated the communication.Food was delicious and hot everything you would expect from an Indian restaurant in the UK

We've just returned from a very nice evening out in this restaurant. Family group of 2 adults and a teenager. We all had starters, main and sides, all of which were top notch ?.I like this restaurant because it has a varied menu with some interesting options...most of the other restaurants in this area have very similar menus. It's also a bit more expensive but worth the extra I feel.Naans here are particularly good.Very attentive service and delicious food. What's not to like? We'll be back!
