Old dry fish and greasy chips

An insult to my taste

Never thought I’d have to give them a low rating but visited tonight around 8.30pm. Queue of customers waiting for their paid for orders whilst Delivery CO’s were served first. One guy asked for his money back. We waited but wish we hadn’t. Chips were undercooked and tasteless, cod also tasteless. And very expensive overall £15 did for fish, chips & 2 pots of peas/curry

I ordered a battered sausage, large fish and chips with curry sauce. The battered sausage was atleast edible. There was more support and strength on my fish than the box it came. I was chewing the fish longer than the chips. With 0 taste anywhere for £15 it's outrageous... don't bother here.

Every time i go here i say never again but i’ve just been given the worst chips i’ve ever had. Obviously had been kept in the hopper for hours. Brown & chewy. If it wasn’t open all day this place would have shut down years ago. Dreadful ? avoid.

Definitely a venue for the larger appetites. Large piece of cod was beautifull.

Always has nice fish, cooked fresh often in a few minutes. The girls are always pleasant and courteous, service with a smile.

The access to the car park is off an incredibly busy main road with 3 lanes...not very well thought out.

Very poor and quite expensive

So after having excessive bad experiences with take out food we thought we try the dugout and it’s definitely value for money chips are amazing loved them best chips everThe cod was little dry felt bit like rubber was tasteless as well but it was eatable wasn’t the worst I had would definitely recommend this place just the cod it’s for me

Decided to have a chippy tea with the family. Usually go elsewhere but it wasn't open, (17.00) wish I had waited. The chips looked like they were left over from earlier in the day. Considering it's a chip shop and should pride themselves on there speciality, it was awful. Never again. I'll stick to my original chip shop.

My husband and I shared a fish and chips which is plenty for us. The food was very nicely cooked as it always is. The only complaint is how expensive fish is now but that's probably not the Dugouts fault. We think the Dugout is the best fish and chip shop in Tamworth.Vegetarian options: Fritters, cheese kebabs, cheese and onion patties.Parking: It's on the side of the Dugout but it's a bit of a rough carpark a a little difficult to get into at times due to it being by the lights. A lot of people park across from the Dugout as there's a pull in section there.

Worse experience. Visited on way back from nec. Food was shocking tiny portions. Vile taste Expensive prices. Ended up In the bin. The staff was so rude. Esp the owner Don’t waste your money. I have visited before but not for long time Certainly won’t be going again £21 for food to go in the bin. Family was hungry so had to do toast!

Really popular so generally fresh. There's off road parking which is great. Prices are reasonable and a good selection on the menu.

Thought this chippy was supposed to close at 12 30am. We turned up at 12.05am last Saturday 23rd Sept was all locked up and they was cleaning down. Don't advertise the times if you are not going to stick to them.
