Always enjoy coming here. It's very impressive what they've done with the old Sainsbury's cafe space upstairs. Great variety of food to choose from (Slim Chickens being my favourite), nice spacious seating and everywhere is clean. You can order from the table via your smartphone too, although I don't have great signal inside so I always pop to the counter instead. I hope this place has continued success!Parking: You park in the Sainsbury's car park

The staff were very polite and pleasant. Unfortunately they had no milk. They are inside Sainsburys which sells gallons of milk but they "were not allowed" to go and get some. They had no ketchup. Sainsburys sell ketchup as well. The full breakfast was - two overdone fried eggs with hard yolks, two lukewarm sausages, beans, mushrooms, a tired looking overcooked tomato, hash browns and something thin, crispy, overcooked and purporting to be bacon: which I didn't eat. The staff were great. The upper management want retraining.

From the outside this looks like it should be good. A number of different food outlets accessible in one hub. However thought and planning have not been matched in any way by design or execution. The self service order stations do not really fit as unlike other outlets which use them (KFC, McDonalds etc) the offerings are not well known. I also didn't notice the Carluccio's on them so I went up to the counter. There the food options were not listed beyond "Toasties from £4.50". I asked which toasties they did (little lad loves a toastie) and was directed to a table and told to scan the QR code to get the menu up that way. It's a little impersonal but I suppose it allows for any alterations to the menu to be kept up to date...well you;d think wouldn't you. I ordered, via the open app, a toastie (super cheesy don't you know) and a burger meal for myself thinking we could share the fries and drink. At about £18 its a bit rich especially as the furniture and lay out is more akin to a work canteen than a welcoming food hub. Roll forward a few minutes when we are approached by someone from the staff who told me that they actually had no toasties. I asked why they were advertised so widely. In fact the only food advertised by the Carluccio's cafe. "Shocking, isn't it?" was the response. Well, yes, it is. Why couldn't I be told this when I asked what toasties they had, rather than being directed away. And why have you run out? You are above a supermarket for goodness sake. Is there no bread in there? I asked for the money back. The little lad had already turned down the other items available. This confused them, managers needed to be got, much more wasting of time whilst waiting. No apologies, no attempt to see if there was any way the customer could be pleased. Went home. Cooked a toastie. And now leaving a shocking review. Won't be returning, will avoid Sainsbury's generally now

Decent pot of tea for one and average scone but cream had to go back as it had gone very grainy and wouldn’t be pleasant to eat. I don’t think I’d go back.

Had scampi, chips and mushy peas absolutely fabulous. Piping hot and perfect serving size for a lunch time, served by a lovely young man and bought to the table by a very polite young lady. Thank you my first visit but won't be my last.

So shopping at Sains is a regular thing. However just recently we have noticed how the trolleys are just left all over the place. the trolley park in front of the store is often empty, look up the car park to the trolley parks and they are all over the place. inside well its the same old sains really but with the added nectar deals! Go to the toilet only in desperation. They are tired smelly and out of touch, are they even cleaned regularly? Soap dispenser always empty,( if you can get you hand in there as theyre positioned right above a tap!). Panels hanging loose on the walls and the smell is disgusting, just like an old public loo from the 70's. Come on Sains clean up, its the finishing touches that help!

very "grey "and unwelcoming experience at Sainsbury's "new "Restaurant hub . We asked for a pot of tea for 2 - got served with a pot for 1 .Most hot things eg toasties had run out - though the cold tuna sandwich was fresh and tasty. Pervasive smell of cooking fat - so greasy spoon character .Baby change facilities were shut - ": this facility is out of order - sorry for inconvenience so , despite 6 months of waiting for this store to have somewhere to change a toddler apart from the floor of the disabled toilet there still were no facilities . Toilet Sign downstairs doesnt point anywhere - terrible . Sainsbury's you should do better - won't go back

First time here. Heard few good things about the plaice. Orders kids fish bites and chips , chicken sliders and chips, mother very happy with fish and chips cooked fresh and taste good, chicken sliders were lovely, milkshake was good too, quick service, £27 for both including milkshake, for some reason my milk shake £2.50 but mothers waa a £5.00. Little bit pricey, but what's not now days.Parking: It's on a retail park

We are from Slim Chicken and the food was amazing! The Texas Toast is everything, but more than that, they are very allergen friendly. I went up and explained my allergens and they went above and beyond to make sure everything was allergy friendly. Will 100% be eating here again after all the help. Thanks everyone <3Wheelchair accessibility: Lift to the food court.Dietary restrictions: Allergen friendly if you go to the counter and explain them.

Really nice place to eat. Had a Harry Ramsdens with my 4 year old son and the staff were really friendly and great with my son and catering for his somewhat fussiness. The food was very nice and we didn't have to wait very long. Whilst we were eating, the staff were amazing with my son which just made a nice experience an amazing experience and he was really happy and full when he left. I just wished we lived a bit closer but we go to Tamworth quite a lot so will be going back next time we are in town. 100% highly recommendedKid-friendliness: 100% kid friendly for both food and the amazing staff

wow! just amazing! came here today for a light lunch and there is an array of choices! food was bought over by a lovely lady called Jodie who had a very good customer service and wasn’t afraid to have a light conversation with us (which wouldn’t happen anywhere else).it’s a hidden gem in Tamworth as it has taken over what used to be the Sainsbury’s cafe but it’s amazing and good value for money, and considering it’s currently summer holidays for kids it was very quiet with no screaming kids. It was a lovely place to relax for a quick and filling meal. highly recommendKid-friendliness: very kid friendly, with cheap kids meals too!Parking: parking there is no shortage of, and there are also disabled spaces too!Wheelchair accessibility: lift to access the restaurant (although small)
