We were very disappointed after our visit. We hadn’t booked but on arrival at 8pm was told they had a table but could only serve pizza and no starters. The restaurant website states it is open till 11pm. We ordered pizzas, which were freshly made and okay but nothing special and as we were eating the 2 members of staff were cleaning up ready to close around us. They also turned 2 people away who arrived after us even though there was only us (a couple ) and one other couple in the restaurant .

Lovely little place, serving good fresh authentic Italian food. Good friendly service, nice wine list. We went on Sunday evening of the bank holiday weekend without a booking, we arrived at opening time and were the 2nd table seated. The place filled up nicely even though they had only one reservation and the atmosphere was quite convivial. We were a party of six with two small children but we were still last to leave. Recommended.

Booked a table for 2 last minute, food and service were superb. Garlic bread with cheese for 2 was on a thin crust, lovely crunch to it, soft and melty to eat, spaghett bolognaise was light and not heavy and lovely flavours to the mince and to finish off the Panacotta was divine. 10/10 all round and worth a visit.

We were staying at the Kings Head in Beccles and was looking for something different to a night in Wetherspoons. We booked into this Italian restaurant and were glad we did. The serving staff were very attentive and friendly and the food served was freshly made and piping hot, which is always most important.The lady chef who runs the place was also visual for any comments you needed to make.We had a lovely night and would recommend the Piatto as a place to eat whilst in Beccles.

We used to love coming here with my late father. But visited last week and were so disappointed. We love authentic pizzas and my son creates his own base and toppings but those served up to us were like biscuits with toppings clearly either poorly produced bases or shop bought certainly not a patch on how they used to be. Sadly we had to leave most of our order, it’s true we were given some money off as a result but what a disappointment.

The bases were clearly shop bought and were like biscuits. At home we make our own sauce and pizza dough so know how this should be. Toppings were ok but not great. Staff were lovely and as two of our party had literally not eaten anything they reduced our bill but sadly we will not be returning, what a disappointment given so many previous happy memories.
