Beware. We had a large party booking 10+. As you would expect in a holiday resort. We had to pay a large deposit to secure the table pre holiday arrival. Which was fine. However after the meal they tried to charge an additional £25 for table service and then further tips expected. Wasn’t told about the table service charge. Food took 30min+ and the restaurant was 1/4 full. Asked for the bill 3 times before someone finally brought it over. Lots of hidden charges in the food, which if you you read the menu would look like it’s included. Food was average at best and only two vegan options on the menu. Cafe rouge shouldn’t demand such high prices and standards when they can not meet them.

Unfortunately a brunch at 10.45 the pancakes were cold along with the bacon. The mixed breakfasts were barely warm. Group of eight eating and not one meal hot just cooked. Sadly didn’t even need to ask for money off, it was automatically given due to send food back to be warmed up. Too help perhaps warm the plates too???

2 meals during our stay. Food good on both but whilst I will assume staff shortage, took about 45 minutes to get asked what we wanted second visit and that was after we chased it up. Overall there for 2.5 hours with a journey to do which was annoying. We knew we would end it in the dark, were not expecting it to be dark before leaving from a 2pm booking. Well below usual standard for this venue

Worth noting that it is now closed Tuesday to Thursday, or at least was during our midweek break.\\nWe did however eat here on the Friday morning before we left. The waitress was lovely, the food was nice, there were some missing items but they substituted others for them which was good. Most enjoyed the food, but it took a while to come even though there were only 4 tables including us there. Also when it did some parts were a bit on the cold side but overall still an okay meal.

Stars given for the staff we were initially greeted by and for the lady manager who said we could have a table as long as we didn't mind waiting (we didn't). However, within 90 seconds of reading the menu, we were told by another manager that he did not have space for us and refused us entry. We understand everyone is busy, but we didn't mind waiting and you should have honoured us the table we were already told we could have.\\n.

The staff were friendly and helpful. My beef bourguignon burger was delicious and sweet potatoes fries were great. The three kids meals were fine and the waitress hurried their desserts when asked as our youngest was starting to fall asleep after too much swimming fun! Would recommend.

Very expressive for what it was. They wouldn't except my wife's company colleagues discount as they said they didn't have the equipment required to process. Pointed out that the discount is stated as being available in all of their restaurants, the manager was dismissive even though the bill total was over £350. Never would go back.

A great 3 course meal. Nice onion soup followed by a sirloin with chips. It did not state the chips were seasoned with paprika which was not enjoyed by one of my party. But overall the meal was great.

Had a great family meal here. As a vegan, I had around three options for each course - starter, main and dessert too. We had a really friendly waitress called Chloe who made us feel very welcome. Would definitely go back!

Steak that was ordered rare arrived medium. The replacement was no better (cooked though and barely pink even in the middle of quite a thick piece of steak). The chef had apparently insisted to the waitress serving us that this was what rare should look like! Luckily she knew better and agreed with us, and took the meal off our bill.
