The fish was the best I have had in a long time. Big and chunky and cooked to perfection. Enjoyed the chips and the curry sauce was lovely too

The one star reviews given to this place are completely uncalled for!! As for the one below commenting about “new potatoes” etc, what a complete moron! Clearly just a post from a troll or someone trying to be funny. Either that or they really are that stupid!Anyway, we had fish and chips and sausage and cups from here tonight and they were all lovely! Absolutely fine as far as fish and chips goes! Not greasy, crispy batter, EXCELLENT proper butchers sausages… and my curry sauce was also fantastic!IGNORE THE PATHETIC ONE STAR REVIEWS. There’s nothing bad about the staff or food! ??

I was walking by in the fine town of bungay, and I couldn't help but notice the sign on the window stating "Now frying new potatoes". I thought to my self this is way to good to be true and turns out it was. I asked the guy if he meant small circular yummy new potatoes and he told me yes, and he then gave me a portion of chips (normal potatoes) instead. Rather disappointed but the chips were still pretty good. Ps- please fry new potatoes properly.

I wish I'd looked at the reviews first. Revolting, greasy, burnt batter. Such a disappointment after a busy day on a visit. Total waste of money as we threw all three portions away. Try them at your peril.

Don't normally use Pex, never will again. Worse fish and chips I've ever had the misfortune of trying. Fish looked more like southern fried chicken. Really greasy and clearly all cooked in old oil. 3 meals in the bin.

We had planned a fish and chip supper for visiting family but unfortunately our usual fish and chip shop was closed so opted for Pex rather than travel further afield. Batter on cod was way over cooked and very dark when it should have been a nice golden colour. Spring roll burnt. Sausage awful. Cooking fat tasted old. Sadly would not recommend this takeaway. We used to use Pex years ago but it seemed to go downhill so switched to Mermaid which is far superior. Felt bad as family as we wanted to treat them.
