A beautiful old pub newly renovated. The food is great and the service is superb. Nothing is too much trouble. We can't wait to visit again.

I can't believe you won't allow the museum to have their event to raise money. I assume you will be helping fund the museum now then? Pretty poor taste. If you had any pride in your local heritage and history, you would just let this event happen for one day. You should be ashamed of yourself.

Went there on recommendation of a colleague. He had a ribeye which he thought excellent but expensive and service//atmosphere lacking. However booked Christmas Eve for my wife and I. The son and brood wished to take me up on the invite so changed booking. Have to say they didn’t ask me to mess about paying a deposit for increase £5/a head, fine no problem. I was told a Christmas variation in their regular Sunday offerings. On arrival they were expecting 2 not 6! Some kerfuffle then ok. Asked if we were having 1 or 2 courses, response was can we see who knows? Tickets thrust at us for one course then asked what about the children kids or adults size meals? The kids said they didn’t know they are only 11. So got food which we all said without reservation that they all thought food was very good. However they all thought service and knowing what they had, drinks wise, and lots of hassle getting us to order deserts it was off putting. Anyway not what we expected and service really is an issue but actual food lovely. Sorry have to say how it is. Work to do we think for price point, again food lovely just the rest.

Sunday lunch today with my friends, it was our first visit and I have to say it was the most wonderful food, the log fire was welcoming and the staff and whole atmosphere was excellent. Well done it is very apparent that you all put a lot of care and thought into everything you do.I can't wait to come back

Last minute decision to visit for a Sunday Cavery Lunch. Have been here before for dinner and it was very good so expecting a high standard - we were not disappointed. Excellent and friendly service with choice of three meats (pork/beef/turkey) Chose beef and turkey - very succulent and full of flavour. Good choice of vegetables plus the Yorkshire pudding. Loved the food and the place - just need to return for a lunch veryvsoon

I’d been to the excellent aviation museum next door and popped in for a quick pint. It was a Sunday lunchtime and The Buck was really busy. I think they struggled at the bar a bit because there was a fair wait and only one guy serving. However, I was very pleased to get a cracking gluten free IPA. Looking at the lunch plates around me, the portions were very generous and the prices were excellent. All I had was a pint and a packet of peanuts, but that same order cost me exactly £4 more the next day when I ate at the Sole Bay Inn in Southwold the following day. Full marks The Buck and I shall be back to have a full meal.
