I recently had the pleasure of visiting this cafe and I am thrilled to leave a 5-star review. From the moment I walked in, the cozy atmosphere and friendly staff made me feel right at home. The menu was filled with a wide variety of delicious options, each dish prepared with fresh ingredients and presented beautifully along side bursting with flavour and crafted with skill. The attention to detail and commitment to quality truly set this cafe apart. I can't wait to return and indulge in another delightful experience.

Lovely dog friendly cafe in the city centre. Gingerbread latte and maple & pecan tart particularly tasty!

Lovely cafe with nice coffees! The Sunday brunch mushroom hash was delicious followed by a scrumptious pecan maple tart with ice cream. Very friendly and excellent service.

With a lot of competition locally, it is not always easy to stand out. Bay Tree Cafe manages it effortlessly in the two key areas. the menu is excellent and varied, whether for breakfast, brunch, lunch and suits either the smaller, or larger appetite. The food is freshly prepared, very tasty and competitively priced. The cheese scones are also the best in town. Equally important the staff are friendly, warm, inclusive and inviting. The combination helps make it a home from home. Well done Alex, Lisa, Kira, Kelsey, Leigh and Yasmin. You deserve the success.

Great experience. Friendly service, innovative food with nicely sized portions. It had a really unique feel to the place. I thought the coffee was very good and I would like to return and try some different food and drink that they offer.

I was very disappointed with my sausage sandwich breakfast. The sausage was sliced extremely thin and placed across the whole sandwich. I expect this is some savings measure to save on the amount of sausages used. I would expect a sandwich to contain at least 2 sausages, but my sandwich and those of my friends probably probably contained one sausage at the most.Interestingly, there was a group of 14 of us today who regularly breakfast in Bury St Edmunds - The Bay Tree will now be removed from our list of places to visit.

I have visited this establishment many times, and I can definitely say I find it the best in town, the hot chocolate is delicious, and the coffee is a gorgeous dark roast from a local roaster. The jambalaya and the hash is clearly made by a chef who's passionate about his work and it shows. the waiting staff are a

Lovely cafe with delicious interesting food and friendly efficient staff. We had the Cuban bread with hot slow cooked beef, cornichons and cheese sauce, and the Cuban bread with streaky bacon, smoked ham, emnental cheese, cornichons and mustard. Also a portion of fries with garlic and parsley. Good wine and beer. Dog friendly.
