Nice venue and atmosphere. Staff were brilliant. You able to mix and match what you want, burger with mash- sure. The only down side is a little on the expensive side and portions could be a little bigger. Food was very tasty. We would go back once we saved up first.

Solo diner at 6pm on a Sunday, so not many other people (hence the 4 star atmosphere). Great salmon starter and then a top 5 ever roast beef Sunday lunch. Wine great, cocktail starter beautifully made. Absolutely incredible. 100% will return.

Just had the most generous and delicious Sunday roast at a really great price. They kindly squeezed us in even though they didn't really have space. Warned us service might be slow as they were sobusybut for us it was the perfect speed of service as we like to chat! Staff were super friendly and helpful. Will definitely be back to try a non-Sunday menu.

Very poor food.I had the sirloin steak & chips. They make a great deal about "Koffmann Chips" so I asked the waitress what they were, expecting them to be the new triple cooked chips or something. She told me they were a brand, just like mccain's.I wasn't particularly impressed when my £25 steak came out with a small pot of oven chips. Plus the steak was tasteless, dry, overcooked & of low quality.Save yourself the cash and get the same rubbish foor over the road at Weatherspoons for a fraction of the price.

Wanted to try here again after coming when it was new and not enjoying it. Thought it’s been a while we’ll try again. Booked for 6 people at 7:30pm. Arrive and told our table is “just over there” with a point. We go and sit down and wait… and wait. Bottles of water are slammed down on the table and she leaves. No drinks order or any communication at all. The people who came in after us had their drinks order taken all while we sit there still being ignored. Would completely understand if they were busy but there were 4 tables including us. We walked out. Honestly shocking

Disappointing really and such a shame because the building the atmosphere is lovely but sorry the food and staff are a little lackingOut of all the menu a lot of things are deep fried - so i had arancini to start then butter chicken burger both deep fried oh and chipsPrices are high but I guess thats due to wages and running costs but I didn’t feel we received value for money which is my main moanSo I guess staff are hard to get but please train them before letting them loose on your very valuable customers- our food arrived as it was being served a chip fell from its container onto the waiters tray - he picked it up with his fingers and put it back into the container and then served!Come on management please train your staff no excusesDidn’t say anything to staff just a little shocked and disappointed on spending £170 - 4 coversNo ill feeling towards D & W just think you should strive for better customer experience so I would look forward to a return visit but I left feeling sorry to say it again - disappointed

Lovely restaurant with a great atmosphere, modern interiors and delicious food. I celebrated my birthday meal here recently - Lucy and the team were so accommodating. D&W was really organised in the lead up to the meal, we pre-ordered all of our food, which meant a seamless delivery of my guests. Thank you, we will definitely be back!

Since becoming part of the Gusto Group, we have been here a couple times and the service and food have both been amazing. The staff are incredibly attentive and courteous, food was done perfectly!! The wine and drinks we also done very well, we enjoyed all of it!

Never eaten here before, as relatively newly opened. Tried it today for a valentines day and both my girlfriend and I were very pleased.We were met by a friendly and polite staff member at the door and offered to choose our preference in where we sat. We were not made to feel pressured into placing our order and were advised on options we questioned about. In addition, I requested a chilli sauce to accompany my chicken burger, which was made for me kindly and without question.Overall this was a very pleasant experience, that we would happily repeat and recommend to anyone.

Dropped in tonight for my first time wit work colleagues and omg what a great place with fantastic food and wonderful service from both Shannon and Natalie. Can't commend these pair enough as they were the most perfect hosts for dinner for a table of 8 of us. The most popular dish was Sirloin steak and crikey you won't be disappointed. Cooked a 10 oz to perfection beit medium-rare, medium or well cooked the whole table was delighted with both the quality of steak and how it had been cooked and served, well done to chefs Victoria and Jake as a special mention. Won't be long before we'll be dropping back in again based on this wonderful experience. Keep up the great works guys and gals, see you soon. Much love ❤️ Gary and friends.

Amazing!!! It's time to give D&W another chance now that it is under new ownership / management and part of our local Gusto Pronto group. When D&W first opened I went twice and was disappointed on every level bar the aesthetically pleasing building, decor and garden. Knowing that D&W was in new 'safe' hands and with the festive season done and dusted, we were keen to see if things were different and our experience was like night and day. Knowledgeable, personable wait staff provided a great service experience and handled our party of seven brilliantly. We dined here on a Sunday so three of our party had roasts, three had burgers and one had soup and a sharing platter. Our food came out promptly with all our small menu modifications handled, piping hot, delicious and in incredible portion sizes that mean D&W now offers great value for money. Everyone in our party was blown away by their meal and our lovely main server (Ms. D!) We were thrilled, and hope that the Gusto Pronto group will continue to pour their love, attention and good practices into Damson & Wilde, its staff and its menu so that its reputation can be fully rehabilitated and its tables fully booked. Well done!
