A lovely evening meal with a wide selection of food and drink options! The pink lemonade is lovely so refreshing and wine was as expected. We had the tapas tuesday deal which is great value for money and the food is delicious! We also had the Korean chicken burger which was nice, the sauce with slight heat. Our one exception is that all our food arrived separately with a large time difference. I understand that we all ordered on seperate phones but we all hit checkout at the same time, with one member finishing their meal before the other had arrived. Overall a lovely meal just would’ve preferred it all together Would definitely come again, lovely food and a great atmosphere!

I wouldn't normally write a bad public review but I have had no response from Edmundos for my complaint. Monday lunchtime, I took my Granddaughter out to lunch. We usually have a nice meal there. Firstly her meal was not as we ordered, that was changed. She had a free hummus dip that we didn't touch as it was dried up. My tapas chicken wings were so dry, I guess they had been re heated. ( Crispy right through ) So, 1 small cola, 1 elderflower drink, child's portion chicken strips and chips and two tapas dishes mostly inedible for £19. Don't think I shall bother again, as they clearly don't bother about customers.

Delicious food as always. Our go to place when in Bury St Edmunds. Staff friendly and efficient. Good menu choice.

That was really nice. Good quality fresh food at a reasonable price. Excellent service and we were just left alone to enjoy our lunch. I recommend.

A wonderful venue in the heart of Bury St Edmunds with the best staff you could hope to meet. Nothing is too much trouble. Food is delicious. Our favourite eating place in Bury St Edmunds.

My partner and I tried to go to Bills for brunch, our usual favourite but after poor initial service (we assume because they’re closing) we decided to leave and head to Edmundo Lounge. We had visited Edmundo once before with our dog and had not overly enjoyed the experience due to the “paws on floors” approach. We understand why, but our dog just behaves better when on one of our laps, so we were not able to relax…. Anyway, on this occasion we were dog free so thought we’d try again. When entering Bills we were left standing for nearly 10 min before anyone served us, in Edmundo Lounge is was entirely different, on walking in we were immediately greeted by a member of staff who advised us we could take any seat, we were also then asked “any allergies?” And as someone who has coeliac ( gluten allergy ) this immediately settles me! I replied that I do and was given a gluten free menu and advised that as I have an allergy I should order at the bar so that a supervisor can take the order. We sat, looked over the menu and I went to the bar to place the order. There was a small wait for the supervisor to be found and to return to the bar, but nothing that was beyond reasonable and the lady whom then took my order done so very diligently and professionally. Reading back the order and ensuring I was aware of the cross contamination risks in a busy kitchen - all superb. Our drinks arrived first - a flat white and a cappuccino. Unfortunately the flat white had been spilled into the saucer and rather than correct or by replacing or returning with any napkins etc to clean up the spillage we were left to our own devices with the slightly spilled coffee. Using the saucer meant that coffee kept dripping onto my partners white t-shirt, so I advised they stopped using it and instead we put the cup on the table and wiped the bottom of the cup with the menu. This is one of only two reasons why I didn’t give a 5 star review and should have been handled better. The only other reason is the food, which although enjoyable was not perfect. I ordered the large breakfast and my partner the regular option without tomato, when asking for the meal without tomato in bills, we are usually offered a substitute item, though this was not offered in Edmundo lounge. Additionally, neither of us were given butter for our toast , like you are in bills, which we found odd, to be given dry, plain toast is not a regular occurrence and the bread is also of a lower quality. Furthermore, one of my two sausages was slightly over cooked, as were all of our fried eggs which had hard yolks and the tomato sauce - tastes like a rather cheap option not to our liking. One other point on the breakfast, a personal preference is that neither of us really like smoked bacon, which is what is served here. Which is risky, as it seems to me that those who do like smoked would also like unsmoked, but not all customers will like smoked. In all, the breakfast was edible and enjoyable enough, though as mentioned above not perfect. The hash browns however were particularly nice and I did enjoy the coffee and the ambiance of the venue. Though for some the music may have been too loud. One final side note - is that in the men’s toilets in the cubicle I used there was no lock on the door. Which should be seen to. All in all, with Bills closing I likely will return, but, as the visit wasn’t perfect, I may see what other options there are for a gluten free brunch in Bury St Edmunds before determining where my loyalty now lies.

Excellent food..beer and service. The Chicken Souvlaki was excellent...the menu overal looked very good catering for every taste. My only grumble was the lack of a local real Ale on draught...I'm sure that with Greene King and Adnams nearby something could be sorted!

Not a great experience today. Stopped in for drinks this afternoon and used the app to order drinks and food. Took over 20 minutes for the drinks and only received them after we went in to ask where they were. Groups of staff chatting about when they were going for lunch and drinks sat on the counter. Every time we’ve been in here of late it feels like you are imposing on the staff if you want served:

I ordered the chicken noodles, when they turned up they were burnt, overcooked and yet not piping hot. The member of staff was very apologetic and arranged for a replacement, this arrived very quickly and was nice and hot. All was going well until I got towards the bottom on the dish where the was about 3-4mm if oil making the remaining noodles inedible. It's a bit of shame, but I don't think I will be returning here again.

We visited Edmundos as a table of 14 last night, as a night of celebration. Our friend had a lovely Labrador with us and we were seated upstairs. We all ordered food and drinks, spending a large amount of money between us. Once our food started arriving the waitress came over and told us that the dog was not going to be able to stay upstairs, and they had no room downstairs for us all to be seated. So one of our friends had to leave the table for the rest of the evening and eat alone downstairs, away from the rest of the group. Whilst I have been made aware that the upstairs is a dog free zone for allergy reasons, which I totally understand, the fact we were seated upstairs with a dog by a member of staff is not a problem that we should be having to resolve. The waitress was hugely unhelpful, and wouldn’t help our situation at all. This completely ruined our whole evening here, and would never return. Would have expected so much more given we were seated by a waitress upstairs, through no choice of our own, then allowed to order hundreds of pounds worth of food and drinks.

Have been before and it's been fine but today we ordered via the app and waited 32 minutes for our food and a further 15 for our drinks, which arrived just as we were finishing the food. The waitress was very apologetic explaining a chronic staff shortage. If you haven't got the staff, don't open or limit your customer numbers; otherwise all you do is frustrate everyone. The people on the table next to us left in frustration as they were fed up with waiting, reinforcing the point.

My daughter has allergies to gluten, fish and dairy and the chef came and spoke to us and made us so comfortable with ordering for her in there. We could all relax and be confident in his ability to cater to our daughters needs! Thank you :)
