We have visited this pub a few times now and have always had a slightly odd experience. Either you can’t eat, or the white wine is cold but they tell you it’s not, you walk all the way (after checking opening hours online) and find it’s shut even though the board outside says it’s open or you phone to check it’s open and are told yes, get there and there is a wedding on and you can only use one room in the pub and the garden is closed (not great when you have kids with you) and then if you mention it to the bar staff that if they had said the garden was closed you wouldn’t have come down they tell you they did tell you. Safe to say I think we are unlikely to visit again I am afraid. Other people obviously get on fine there as the reviews are good so maybe it’s just us ?

What a fantastic place, I have been introduced to The Swan by my best buddy Clive, what a great pub, food is so yummy yum yum, best meals out I have had for a long time. Its also the atmosphere that makes it a worth while visit, everyone is so friendly, Liz is fantastic. A worth while visit if passing or to make a special journey out to, you must go!

We ate here on a Saturday night. Service and food was very good (although two jalapeño cheese poppers as a starter was a bit stingy) Beers were ok … would have liked a few more on draft but a nice evening. Lovely garden and some nice events planned too. Opening hours and capacity were very odd … didn’t open until 3pm on a Saturday and although restaurant was only half full at 7:30pm sign said it was full … I think you could be doing a lot more business !

From opening the door we received a warm welcome by the young lady behind the bar, it was our first visit & nothing was to much trouble. Food was something else …. Wow .. all homemade & we went home feeling full!!

First time visiting this local pub - arrived early, made to feel very welcome. Good selection of beers, and a good selection of meal choices Started by having starters which were good size then had both veggie burger and then Swan Burger - can highly recommend it but beware that it is quite large Also worthy of mention was the service - the waitress was polite, informative and friendly…..‘just made us feel very welcome very natural - not something which is rarely found now

My wife and I ate here last weekend and almost a week later we are still talking about how good the food and evening was. Lamb shank to absolutely die for and gorgeous pies, great size portions and top value. Add in extremely well kept beer, a quirky Gin selection, decent wine, excellent staff and friendly locals who made us very very welcome as visitors I cannot recommend enough. Will definitely return next time we are in the area.

We booked The Swan for our wedding after having several fantastic meals here over recent years. Laura and Lawrence went above and beyond setting up a kitchen in our field while managing to serve a three course dinner, including drop service and catering for the entire gamut of dietary requirements. We had compliment after compliment from our guests about how good timings were, how good the food was, how they felt their needs had been catered for and how friendly / helpful the bar staff were. When my partner asked for his favourite drink to be served (Neck Oil) they even ordered some in to the pub to try it. They could not have done more and we’re so incredibly grateful - if you’re thinking about coming here for lunch or dinner eat anything and try the blush rosé (Lawrence is a pastry chef so have a dessert as well). If you’re thinking about booking them for a wedding the late night pizzas are BANGING and they hold canapés back for the bride and groom while photos are happening. Brilliant all round ?

Food was very good and service was exceptional! Great price and my friends over from Munich loved the atmosphere of a country pub.
