When I rang the shop to complain I was confronted by a very rude man who could hardly speak English. Bought cod and chips on Tuesday evening, absolutely awful taste ,I'm sure the oil had not been changed for ages, chips were a really dark orange , fish was OK inside the batter.Hygiene not good at all , scruffy padded jackets worn behind the till and also the guy cooking .Felt really ill once eaten some of it.

Nice fresh food cooked to order and good service. Even have a little table inside to eat at. Chips were cooked to perfection and the sausage in batter was tasty with just the right amount of batter.

Ordered for delivery. £30!Haddock, pie, gravey, 1 large chios, curry sauce...£30!Fish was soggy but decent size. Gravey could have sunk a ship, chips soggy too. Staggered at the cost. Won't be ordering

Just placed a large order at Godfather. Told it would be ten minutes, not a problem. Arrived and food promptly ready, at this point I was told cash only. Surprised I said "really " again not a problem, as I walked out a member of the team mocked my "really" commitment several times. I thought it might simply be a coincidence but when I return w the cash this staff member return to mocking me. I didn't pay. Its 1830 on a Sunday evening asking for a gish supper. You're not dealing with your 2am drunken clientele. Keep my order and change the way you treat day customers.

I'm really disappointed! Each time I order I ask for at least golden chips as they are always dry and actually not very nice! I asked for salt and vinegar and they didnt even have that the chips are awful like they had been last nights chips reheated! I have given cod father many oputunities butsadly I need to find a decent chippy

Almost cold chips with a jumbo sausage in batter that hat very small fragments of bone in them.This shop was one of the best in suffolk 5 years ago and I was a regular customer. I stopped going about 3 years ago as our daily plans changed at that time, the standards were already droipping but now I will never go in there again.
