I’m yet to find a Sunday roast that matches this place. The beef is truly next level !Very homely pub filled with locals, dog and child friendly. Local ciders on tap.Oscar and team are very friendly whenever we dine - service is always attentive and welcoming. In the summer, the most amazing home made pizzas dished out from a pizza oven in the garden !We recommend to all. Prices are beyond reasonable.

Visited The Crown twice during our week’s stay in Hartest. Well looked after by Oscar and his team on both occasions. Locally brewed ale was good and the food is AMAZING! Pie and pint night on Wednesday was fab. Thank you, Paul, Nicky and Tilly x

Good food, service and a lovely atmosphere, a great old building. A bit isolated with single caraigeway roads leading to Hartest.

The Sunday roasts are to die for! Can’t fault them. I had the beef which was served beautifully pink and tender, a giant yorkie and plenty of fresh vegetables, I couldn’t quite finish it but still managed to finish with something sweet. Berry and apple crumble was delicious.Staff all very friendly and made a fuss over my son which kept him smiling and entertained.

Lovely place to sit and eat.Sitting by the fire on a cold day was a real bonus.

Arrived 2 hours early as overseas relatives were really feeling the cold, front of service gave us seating by a roaring fire and although they were extremely busy got us our table an hour early. Food as ever was amazing. We live an hour away but this is one of our top places to eat.Parking: No problem

Incredible beer garden with a pizza oven and all of the lovely Brewshed beers to pick from. A little on the pricey side but worth it.

What an absolute gem. The food was amazing, especially the monkfish chowder, couldn't fault it, it was packed with flavor and was so moreish. The beef rib starter was also excellent and full of flavor. We had a superb evening and everyone raved about the food
