Inspiring environment to beverage. Suggestion box item number 1: QR codes on tables to allow drinks delivery.

Tried going in there at 10pm on a Wednesday night with 8 people and they said they were closed even though there was two drinkers in there and they close at 11pm, the guy with the red hair wasn’t very friendly. Would not recommend.

Would post more photos, but they wouldn't do it justice. (AIE) Smallest pub in the UK. The place to try if you want the following: Boisterous conversation with people you just met. From the door to the bar, 2 steps. Almost no where to sit and you love that. Walls of things to look at....which strikes up more conversation. Seeing how many people you can squeeze into one small closet. Been by a few times in the short time I've been here. One drink or five; This is a good time, every time. Note: bathroom is on the 3rd floor, stairs to the left of the bar. (American in England)

A quirky little hole in the wall with character. What it lacks in space and diversity of merchandise, makes up in ambiance and quirkiness. The pub is a local celebrity and a magnet of the locals and the American contingent.Prices are about average, space is at a premium and the beer is exclusively from the British GK, who is historically been based in Bury St Edmunds since its founding in the late 1700s.

15 x 7 ft, walls filled with treasures, momentos and signed currency.

We met up with friends and thought we'd have a drink in the Nutshell that was until 2016 the smallest pub in Britain. We loved it so much, we stayed till closing ? we met loads of great people in there, most visiting like us.

A really small proper pub. It's so small you have to speak with everybody. Great beer and chatty locals. Every time I come to Bury, I have to have a beer in here. There is a small room upstairs as well.

A book ‘You never know about England’ has led me to book a coach tour from Sittingbourne to Bury St.Edmund. Then I google ‘What to do and see’, The Nutshell Pub is one of my interest as I am very into Ales & Old Architecture like Lilliput Lane. It was the most exciting thing on that trip. I had chance to drink the local Ales - Abbot that has been nominated the best ales in 2023. Such a lovely atmosphere where everything is so small. You have the chance to talk to locals and Such a friendly lad I sat besides for a short moment… This smallest pub in England is such a worthy place to visit⭐️ I wish I can stay longer…but the coach soon left…
